Guitar Hero II

I am loving this game. Expert mode is much more difficult than the first one.
THREE NOTE CHORDS!
I have beaten the game on Hard, and I am one song away from completing the Expert mode. That last song is kicking my ass with it's incredibly long and repetitive soloing. At least they added a practice mode where I can learn by slowing it down a little.
Having "Trogdor" as an unlockable song is a severe plus.
Anyone else addicted yet?

how you find the time to play video games and write/record good music, is beyond me.

What's the game for? PC? A gaming system perchance?

Close! I work in radio. I actually work 6 days a week, but they are short shifts.
I also don't watch many movies or TV for that matter. That might help.
Thanks for thinking that the music is good.

I think it is currently exclusive to the Playstation 2. I believe an Xbox 360 version is coming out next year.
I already owned the first one, so it made sense to get the second one for the same system. Now I have two guitar controllers, and I can play multiplayer with friends.

I am still waiting for the price for the first one to come down. I want to play it but I don't want to spend $120 on a game.

$120? I don't think I've ever seen it for more than $70.

we probably live in different countries.

If Colorado is in a different country than Indiana, then yes!

The prosecution was unaware of this piece of critical evidence!
Too... much... Phoenix Wright...
And to be on topic, the Dethklok song is so ridiculous, I can't even pass it on Hard.

We now have a copy of this game for the Xbox 360 ... at the office where I work. Don't ask me to explain, just start taking bets on how long before I get fired for spending all day playing Guitar Hero II. Holy crap, it's possibly the best video game I've ever played, and it's entirely too addictive. I'm still trying to master Medium difficulty, but I think I'll soon be ready to move on to Hard.

I can play "Thunderhorse" on expert now. Fuck. Yeah.

I'm working through it on Expert. I just finally beat The Sword. Rock This Town is kicking my ass now.
I honestly believe this game has been good for my actual guitar playing.

I concur. It really does help alot with the motor skills.

I just wish they could nail the hammer-on system. "Freebird" is almost impossible because of the kinks in it.

Has anyone managed to beat Jordan on Expert? One of my roommates has five or four starred everything except that one song, and he can't even get through it.
I kind of suck at Guitar Hero, but I can do a decent number of songs on hard.

One of my co-workers says that he read somewhere that it's impossible to get 5 stars on that song on Expert.
I just tried Hard for the first time, on "Heart Shaped Box", and got my ass kicked. That fifth button is blowing my mind.

It can be done.

Meanwhile, my Guitar Hero 2 lays unopened in CT. Sigh.

I almost bought a second guitar controller today with birthday money

but couldn't justify it. It'd be fun to play along with Andy, who is getting pretty good at the Easy level songs. But for the price of the controller ($60) I can get two new games. (Which I didn't do either; I got a new video card for the PC.)

A second guitar controller is ESSENTIAL to Guitar Hero 2 being awesome. My buddy and I will rip through "War Pigs" together any time we're feeling down and it's an immediate and surprisingly long-lasting fix.

Yeah, my first experience was with two guitars, and it's awesome. I'd love to do some of the head to head playing on some of the later songs on Medium or Hard. I'm starting to adjust to Hard, I think. This game is seriously inspiring me to go home and shred. That Buckethead song is going to be stuck in my head for months.
