Can we have a 'Flame Wars' section then?

It's going to happen anyway once in a while, right? Why not make a section devoted especially to flame wars. That way, instead of deleting a bunch of crap and getting accused of being a nazi, just move the offending thread to the appropriate section.

I think I'd rather be accused of being heavy-handed than acknowledge such things as flame wars. Really, they don't happen often on this message board. I think giving them their own forum would just encourage behavior that nobody except trolls enjoys, and would just make it easier for people not to like each other. Which is already really easy.

If you had a section exclusively for flames, no one who wants to see that crap on the board would ever have to look in there, and if a discussion on the rest of the board starts to get out of hand, someone just has to say "TITFW" and BOOM, it's out of sight, out of mind.
I don't think it would encourage that behaviour. But on the other hand, sometimes it's good to get it out of your system. We're all friends here. Little spats come and go, but I'm pretty sure most people like everyone here (I know I do. And so does denyer, apparently)

A flamewar section would a) encourage really dumb flamewars, made exclusively for the purpose of flaming (kinda like the silly polls thread does for silly polls...), and b) not really discourage actual flamewars, which happen for real reasons.
