Ok, now back to this weeks Glutton entries. I am completely blown away by the creative intensity everyone put into their songs. If someone was to take them all and master the sound levels, etc, it would be the best band compilation cd in my collection. I'll be listening to these songs all week for sure.

edit: after listening to to the songs again, this IS my best compilation cd in my collection, mastered or not.

Just when I was about to lose hope, Songfight churns out one of the best fights that I have ever heard. There are so many great song I have no idea who I'll be voting for. Kudos to everyone for doing an exceptional job.

Didn't make the deadline this week with my entry and have been busy for a few weeks, but it's nice to have the time to check out this weeks fight in detail. Here are my reviews. I hope nobody is offended by any of the comparisons I've used, on second listen I may change my mind.

Ratt Poizon

Very nice production. Drums are quality. Great guitar tones and vocal trickery. In all honesty not really my cup of tea, but I apreaciate it for a great example of the genre it is. Almost reminds me of Dark side of the spoon era ministry stuff. Best track I've heard from you.

Wreckdom
Erm... Well it fits the Glutton topic. Kind of reminds me of an ICP skit or something. I'm going to have nightmares. Kind of funny, but not as funny as Denyer's funny. Saying that I just hit the Tiger penis bit and you score extra points

BLT
Nice drum programming. The symbols are a bit hollow, especially the ride which is a bit mechanical and the samples all sound a bit low res. Kind of reminds me of an old nirvana track (can't think which I'm a bit rusty on my old Nirvana knowledge). This isn't a bad track though, the trumpet definatly elevates it higher up the group. Niiice. It might be a grower.

Brandon Ellison
I like this. Kind of a bit Elliot Smithy which is never a bad thing. Some of the harmonys sound a little off, but not off enough for that to be a problem. Piano is very nice. Is it real ? If its sampled, it's the nicest piano sounds I've heard in a long time.

Cranial Bifida.
Well I'm in for the long hall here. 8mins plus (I read your explaination, so I'm going to give it the whole running time). You definatly have your own sound, there's no mistaking this is a CB track. It's not really my bag though, very Attrition (but without the violins). I'm 2.30 in so far and starting to regret my pledge to make it through 8 mins So far very little variation in the backing track. I think you would make good film soundtrack stuff though. I like the female vox at 4mins or so, I'd use more of this and less of the Marilyn Manson stuff (who ironicallyI like), a little tune goes a long way in keeping my interest. I know people who would enjoy this though.

Get crunk motherfucker, get CRUNK. Nice programming, you guys are getting better all the time. Did I hear a Mc Pee Pants rip in the female vocalist ? You are varied in the quality of your rapping, I think by filtering your rosta down a little you could make some serious rap tunes without the Nerdcore gimick. Regardless, this is only rivaled by Front and Beefy for Nerdcore entrys I've heard on SF. I wouldn't buy it, but it's very good for it is. Kudos

Finding Nemoy
Very melodic. I like Very simple, but doesn't need any more. Sounds like a cross between Snow Patrol and Arcade Fire. So far on the playlist, you get my vote.

Frankie Big Face
2 excellent entrys in a row. Wow, this is going to be a tough fight. With this songfight you are spoiling me. Where's the horrible vocoder entrys and the piss-abouts this week Back to the topic, this is one of the best tracks I've heard yet on my Songfight journey (eg not just this week). Vocals are excellent, structure is sublime, chorus is heart-meltingly good. You Rock. I can't wait to hear more of your stuff. You've just stolen the torch from Finding Nemoy. 5 Minutes of bliss.

Gentlemen Theives
This is also a quality tune. What language is it sung in ? In another fight this would possibly get my vote. Very nice.

Glenn Case
I'm loving Glenn's stuff. I heard this earlier in the week from a forum post. Great production. Great lyrics. You have such a brilliant voice and a knack of creating these wonderful songs that stick in your head for weeks. Loving the offkilter time sig. Any other week you would have run away with the fight. This week, I just don't know. 10 tracks in and I'm already scratching my head as to who to vote for. Anyway thanks for another good track. I'm hoping next time I enter, you and Jordan are too busy to submit one otherwise I have no hope

Jim Tyrell
And the goodness continues. It's really nice to hear some pianos and organic instruments this week. I'm starting to run out of nice things to say about songs, I wasn't expecting everyone to be so good. Liked the lyrics, the mix was nice, maybe add a very BV's in there but I can find no fault with this. Solid work. Well done.

Jolly Roger
This sounds like it needs recording better. I like the song though. Is it recorded with just a mic in the middle of your band's practice room ? Sounds like a PZM mic on the floor. Odd abrupt ending, but I liked it. Yet again in another fight this would rate higher, there is just too much competition this week.

J.R. Stinkenstein
Well produced. Country is not my bag, but it's very good for what it is. Nice guitar in the background. A bit repetitive in sound, but all country's like that, so I'm not faulting you there. Good.

Mc Paul Denyer.
I know you said no reviews, but I can't help it. I love your shit man, it's so funny and yet you can tell that you have musical tallent at the same time. Like the backing groove..This sounds almost more freestyled that normal. Not my favourite track you've done, but I'm still into it.

Melvin
I could hear this being played on an alt rock radiostation no problems. Great vox. Is this a solo production or have you got a band behind you ? Very impressive regardless, I like very much. In another fight, top 3. In this fight, I've got no idea anymore.

Octothorpe
A live recording ? I wish I had enough gigs to do a live entry. I'm still not sure if I get the whole Octothorpe thing, but you obviously love what you do. Is this made up on the spot or prewritten ? Fair play for doing it live though, I bet it was a laugh.

Pigpen
When this started I though it was Kunt and Gang (no offense intended, if you haven't heard their stuff check them out and see if you agree). Very 80's in production. A bit like the cure but not as nice. Not sure about the "I tend to overdo it" bit. The timing on the backing here is very strange. At least it's not the same old tried and tested thing though. Not the worst vocals I've heard, but you sound absolutly wasted on here. If you are fair play

Ran down hell
9.42. Are you all trying to stave me of my dinner with these epic tunes 2 Minutes in I'm not impressed. It's more like a soundscape for an art exhibition or something than a song. Like godspeed without the tune, or FSOL without the whale noises and washing machine samples run through a distortion peddle At the same time, I don't hate it. There is something making me stick it out for the duration to see if something else happens. Not sure how many people will make it through the whole track though. Woaah, a vocal at 4 minutes in. I wasn't expecting that. I don't like it anymore Beyond dark. I made it to 5 mins and skipped through.

This is very odd. Sounds like an acid trip of a nursey rhyme. Very sinister. I'm not going to say anymore, you've scared me

A british entry I'm liking the groove, you sounds like a really good band, but it's a bit lifeless compared to some of the other entries this week. It's still very good. Do you want fries with that review ?

I like this alot. Very simple instrumentation but there's nowt wrong with that. Nice harmony's and vocal delivery in general. A very sweet song.

Wages
Industrial in a nice way. You are a musical chamelion. Unless I'd read the name, I wouldn't have pegged this as you, but that's a good thing. It seems a little undeveloped in places, but there's the basis of a good song in here. Kudos.

Track 23 on the winamp playlist doesn't work. I'm sorry whoever's song I've missed will have to let me know and I'll listen from the main page if you want a review.

The guitar has got too much resonance on it and it's starting to clip. I like the groove though. Not sure about the vocals. Could use some drums. Doesn't seem to go anywhere though.

This is some solid hiphop, AND IT'S NOT NERDCORE !!! Almost a bit of an Xzibit tip on the vocal style. I like this a lot. Tough beat, good lyrics professional flow. Well impressed and can't wait to hear future entries.

And onto the final entry. Another real band. The levels are a bit all over the place, but I bet you are a good live band with a good engineer. Is this another Mic on the floor recording ? Not too keen on the track but that's some crazy drumming man With a bit more work and polish (especially on the vocals) this would improve 10 fold.


In conclusion (this feels like I'm back at school writing up my science practical) I honestly don't know anymore who I'm going to vote for. You are all winners this week. Without a shadow of a doubt the highest standard fight I've heard yet. I'm kind of glad my track didn't make it into fruition as you'd have all whooped my ass

BLT&SD: fucking cool bassline. Hats/cymbals mixed way too loud, Vocals need more presence. I bet I'd enjoy flailing across the dancefloor like a psycho to this.

Melvin: Predictably enough, I like the guitar work here. The repetition of the 'thank you lord for this beautiful day' line was cool at first, but wore it's welcome out before the end of the song. A decent song; no more, no less.

Finding Nemoy: Well produced. NMCOT. Liked the 'and it's mine and it's mine it's all mine' bit, tho'. Didn't outstay it's welcome.

Thanks for the frisbee: Also well produced, also NMCOT. "I am a glutton for you" was so twee it actually annoyed me.

MC Paul Denyer: Just plain awful.

Jolly Roger: Vocals let this down, I don't suppose I could talk you into some pitch correction software could I? Could stand some work on the production too. Rhythm guitar was cool tho'.

Ratt Poizon: Nice drum programming. Guitars too loud and fizzy. hahahaha, the vocals just came in. OK, you're obviously 'avin' a larf, I can get behind that. Yeah, this is way cool. Why does the id3 tag tell me it' Plastic Rose tho'?

WreckdoM: Dear god you have to be kidding. I am NOT lovin' it.

PiGPEN: The intro was so much better than the song. Were you as bored singing it as you sounded? Pet peeve: Glutton has two t's in the middle, couldn't you at least pronounce one of them? Or, god, the t at the end of 'it'?! The music's not so bad I guess, if a bit generic sounding.

The Gentlemen Thieves: I'm liking this much more than I ought to. I like the wailing in the background a lot. Wish I knew wtf you're singing.

Cranial Biffida: Nice intro. Drags on tho'. desperately needs more variety in the mix. OK, I'm already bored and I'm only a third of the way in. Enough.

Zipline: Has your drummer calmed down yet? Yeah? Good. Try getting him to sing.

Billy's Little Trip feat. Steve Durand
Song: I had a tough time understanding the lyrics and tie in to the title
Production: Some effects on the drums might bring them into the fold a little more
Performance: Excellent job there, Steve.
Overall: NMG, the best part of this for me was the brass.

Brandon Ellison
Song: I really like the song. A mix of things I really like that I first noticed listening to songwriters like David Bowie and Rufus Wainwright.
Production: Pretty good. The piano might be a touch hotter, but I like the effects on the various parts.
Performance: I like the sound of the piano. Unrehearsed in spots.
Overall: A nice job. I’m a huge fan of the harmonies and if these were tightened up this song would be in contention for me.

Cranial Biffida

Production: very good

Overall: NMG. The Egyptian feel is pretty nice in parts with the female voice singing, “come to me”

Song: Actually.. good. Wow. Not often I like the rap songfight entries but this song is good.
Production: pretty well done
Performance: I liked some of the voices more than others, but overall some pretty good skills.
Overall: I love your artist name. Pretty entertaining. Good job.

Production: sometimes the double voice is a little discordant.
Performance: there’s a little lisp here that makes this song cute
Overall: you know this is a nice little ditty. I don’t get how it ties in to the title but

Song: great writing here: melody, moment, structure, purity, build and resolution.
Production: above and beyond
Performance: a very genuine sound
Overall: welcome back, frankie, great job. You missed a cymbal hit at one point in the song

The Gentlemen Thieves

Production: the panned guitars are very nicely positioned. the main voice may be a touch too close
Performance: nicely done. The background vocals could be worked a little more
Overall: A fun little jig. My favorite part is just listening to the guitars and imagining a slightly better backing vocal section.

Glenn Case
Song: Fun with time signatures. Some 7/4, some 6/4. Great song.
Production: Excellent
Performance: Very tight (except for just at the end there) which can be difficult to do with these sigs.
Overall: Wonderful. I like your stuff more and more Glenn...

J.R. Stinkenstein
Song: NMG. Pretty good.
Production: Good job mixing.
Performance: Really loose in parts, if this was a little tighter this could be a nice fun song even though not typically my cup of coffee. Nice slide guitar in parts.
Overall: Yehaw. This is a good start.

Jim Tyrrell
Song: I like the melody to this.
Production: A little too thick and muddy in parts. Gorgeous effect on the snare.
Performance: Nice job with the singing
Overall: Good job.

Song: Sounds a bit like 311 meets Christian rock, although I can’t catch all of the lyrics so I’m not sure exactly what you’re going for.
Production: nicely done. Vocals didn’t sounds quite right in the mix
Performance: nicely done.
Overall: This is a bit different from the other stuff of yours I’ve listened to. The first song I heard was Brimming With Tears, which I love. I like that style a little more than this (I’m not a huge 311 fan), although this song is tighter and better performed.

Octothorpe
Song: Written and recorded in about the time it took Lenscrafters to make my glasses.
Production: Recorded in an empty warehouse in sub-zero temperatures
Performance: Ug. Feel free to ding the guitar work.
Overall: I had a blast hanging out and recording this song. For better or worse this song will always remind me of my first Seattle snowstorm.

PiGPEN
Song: the lyrics are actually not too bad in parts. Some pretty genuine honesty and vulnerability going on here unless I’m misreading
Production: voice is too hidden by the stuff above it.
Performance: voice is a little raw but could work with this type of song
Overall: this song could be pretty genuine if there was a little less musical kitsch hanging out above it. Let the lyrics guide the accompaniment a bit more and this could be the first song of yours that I liked.

yes thats a real piano, its the one in my picture. I got it cheap a couple weeks ago. i love it. and i love not having to us samples anymore.

It appears my song did not make the list for some reason. I received an email confirmation, and I checked my sent mail and I remembered to attach the file, so I'm not sure what happened. Anywho, if our song could get added and people could review it when it is, I would appreciate it.

Emergency Pizza Party - Nerdcore with crunk beats. It's like when rapcore happened, but so much more annoying.

Jolly Roger - Bedroom metal? I'm really liking the vocals on this for some reason, the whole thing has this bizarrely interesting like "I want to rock the fuck out, but it's also totally quiet and restrained" tension that I really like. And the solos move in and out of technical grace and sloppiness with fluidity. I like this.

Brandon Ellison - I love it when a vocal line is totally solid and the music under it feels like it's slushing around, maybe even disappearing under you. The lyrics aren't as compelling as the music, but they work. The maneater thing is emotionally-charged like this song, but isn't all that original. But who cares when the music is this interesting. I wish it went out with higher energy though, it would give it an even greater sense of movement.

Stylon Pilson - Pretty silly lyrically. Not good or bad, but it's the first thing that really jumps out at me. I can't really think of other elements that really stand out. Cool progression, but it's sort of at the same level all the way through.

Jim Tyrell - Jim's back! And he's got a rollicking breezy sort of western ballad. I'm really loving the movement and the chord changes in this. Your voice, at the "ooh ooh" bit has a Ben Folds sound to it, which is a great thing. In fact, this kind of sounds like something off of Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner, which is my favorite Ben Folds Five album. So, huh, I guess really great job basically.

J.R. Stinkenstein - I usually hate novelty country, and at first I was like "aw ew," but this actually has some really cool things going on. The progressions are really nice and the slide guitar that sounds somewhere between arena rock and Flaming Lips' earlier stuff gives it an edge of weirdness that really works. Doesn't need to sort of jokey country twang, unless that's not jokey. I can't tell because sometimes it sounds authentic and sometimes sounds put on. Great song though.

Glenn Case - Ugh, this intro is setting off my OC compulsions toward symmetry! Bouncy and rhythmically exciting. This is just a real joy to listen to, which is sometimes all a song needs to be. And then you break it down which somehow, no matter how much it doesn't make sense, reminds me of Blood Brothers? They have their poppy moments, I guess. Anyway, that chorus is fantastic. Envy-inspiring.

PiGPEN - Same old cheesy MIDI beats, but more songcraft and less rhyme-centric. Not quite crazy about this, but it definitely strikes me as much more truthful and complex than your earlier work. Commit to your vocals more, back them up with more air and confidence, and this would be 100 times more compelling.

WreckdoM - Mmmmmmmm.

Octothorpe - Starting out telling me what to expect and then delivering. Badda bing badda boom. This truly is beautiful in some twisted, Octothorpian way.

Billy's Little Trip feat. Steve Durand - I swear you've tapped into something so many people wish they could. That sound people magically found when everyone else was listening to hardcore, sounding somehow ancient and new at the same time. And then that fucking brass comes in and just brings it to a new level of slacker-cool. Steve's the raddest older dude here, I'm convinced. Everything about this just pricks my ears up and makes them stay there.

MC Paul Denyer - Apparently eating pie is gluttony to people here, it's a common theme I'm picking up on. This is classic Denyer, for whatever or for whatever.

Melvin - This sounds like the Christian punk band Dethklok goes to see in that one episode of Metalocalypse.

Wages of Sin - These are two elements that shouldn't go together, but somehow do. I think your voice goes better with this sort of denser, more theatrical musical. That guitar is nice too. BAM now there are arpeggios. I forgot about that challenge until now. Anyway, good workings here.

Zealous1 feat. Dark Heart - Well fuck me running. A rap song that doesn't sound like a god damn joke. Not only that, fucking epic organ-arpeggio rap. This is great. Probably the only rap song on SF I've heard that I'd call "legitimate."

The Gentlemen Thieves - I don't really like people aping this culture because people do it a lot where I'm from, and rarely with good results.

Finding Nemoy - Sweet and fragile. I mean, effiminate and a little cheesy and all that too, but ultimately heartfelt sweet and good. Nice doubled guitar and vocals(?).

Frankie Big Face - Glad to hear you back. This whole intro sounds like it has a real point to it, it's definitely building rather than a lot of intros that just seem kind of tacked on. And with every arpeggio I find myself more excited as to where it's going. Rather than draw Bowie comparisons I'd be inclined to liken this to the music in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Theatrical and all, but backed by so much truthfulness. And yes, that breaking point is epically rewarding and gorgeous.

Yes Yes No Yes?? - Ween space ska stuff, but somehow creepy enough to keep my attention. The way the whole thing comes in spastic flashes of lyrics works somehow. The repetition too.

Rain Down Hell (Jacob and I) - It was really nice to work with Jacob again. I'm proudest of my ability to strum quickly and constantly for about 8 minutes in this song.

Zipline - More sophisticated songs/production are coming in lately for some reason, a lot of really great variety. This sounds really good and mercurial. The vocals are harsher than everything else though. But really good song.

Cranial Biffida - Really uber-theatrical to the point of sort of parody. Also, "don't touch the honey because it is darkness" really throws me off. And I swear that fast beat in the background is in a level in Goldeneye.

Ratt Poizon - Fucking nice riff on this. I've been on a total doom kick and the combo of drum machine and doomy guitar reminds me of a track off of White1 by Sunn O))) actually. Which is a good good thing. I almost wanted this to just be instrumental, as the vocals kind of make it too jokey. The guitar though is fucking great. We need to jam.

Wormsweater - not working for me right now, I'll write this later when it is.

Scrap Heap - This is what it sounds like in my head from time to time.

Thanks for the Frisbee - Nice and pretty, as always, but sort of vague. The multiple voices help flesh it out and complicate it, which is good. The lyrics get better after the intro though. I like it, keep it up.

So I haven't done a lot of reviews lately, and I feel kind of bad about it. The fights just have so many people in them! If I finish these reviews, I'm going to be very pleased. Here we go ...

Billy's Little Trip feat. Steve Durand - I listened to this one before the reviews, just because I couldn't believe that there would be a combination like this. First, mixing stuff - I think vocals could probably be higher in the mix, since I can't understand you. Don't be afraid to pump those up. You have a good voice, especially for the style. These are fake drums, right? Not bad sounding ... you just need to fix them in the mix a bit I think. The hi hat sounds good in the mix, but the ride is killing me. Bringing up the guitar a bit would be good ... I'm actually hearing far more bass than guitar. Bring up the trumpet in the fast part. The rest of the time it sounds sweet. Songwise ... sweet song. I'm pumped to hear more of your stuff.

Brandon Ellison - Creeps me out. I wish that the drums were a bit more clear in the mix ... tighter vocals in the da da section would help a lot too. Your voice sounds a bit tired, but that just comes with the style, I guess. I'm actually liking this in some ways though. The piano could come up in the mix a tiny bit ... at times it seems lost behind your voice. Really good length. Not dragging out a song is bonus points for me. Make more!

Cranial Biffida - Yee ... this makes the creepy Brandon Ellison song sound like a field of daisies ... quit it ... you're freaking me out guys. That aside, I wish that you had put some more tune into it. This is almost spoken word. This has some pretty cool guitar tone. Another decent one. Oh yeah ... really long for what it is. I like the "it's so nice in here" section, but I didn't listen past there. I've got a really short attention span.

Emergency Pizza Party - I like this more than a lot of nerdcore stuff I've heard. If you took this a bit more seriously, this could be non-nerdcore quality stuff. I love the groove ... sweet beats and tune. Love it. When I heard it start I thought it would be terrible, but this is great. Burning this one to disk, I am. Bonus for lots of different voices as well.

Finding Nemoy - As I'm sure I've said in previous fights, I love your writing style. The songs you make just relate with me so much. I really like this. Your voice is definitely growing on me as time is going on too. This is definitely a keeper. Also, it's a perfect length. Just finished listening as I was finishing the review. Bonus points!

Frankie Big Face - It brought me much joy when I found out I was going to be in a fight with the great FBF. Your lyrical content, recording quality, songwriting and voice are just perfect. This song is no exception. Can't offer any suggestions to somewhat so much better than myself. The chorus section is just so powerful. Also, that shaker in verse two seems to add just a touch of the dynamics that the song needed too. Definitely my favorite so far.

The Gentlemen Thieves - From the lyrics, I was expecting something like this. All I can say is that I wish there was more depth to this. Can't really say much ... not my cup of tea.

Glenn Case - As with Frankie, I'm already a bit biused as I love your stuff as well. Love the time signature changes. AHHH this is going to be hard to judge ... this song is great. I love it. I love it ... who will I vote for? This is just getting hard. Great song. Perfect.

Jim Tyrell - Oh. Another one of my favore SF artists. I don't know what to do. One thing I can say ... I wish the snare was a teensy bit louder, since I had some problems getting the feel of the song. Aside from that, it's another great song. What to do. Great song.

Jolly Roger - Okay this is me. Can't say I was happy with the final mix ... wish I had brought up those overhead mics a bit, and possibly take down the vocals a bit. I definitely am happy with the song itself though. More so than most of my previous entries. Take from it what you will.


Too many songs, too little time. I may finish reviews, I may not. I have a life. One thing I'll take from what I've heard so far is that there are too many good songs for me to decide. Top favorites are definitely Frank, Glenn and Jim.

I'm going to try to post reviews later this week, but I had to say that Frankie Big Face's song is fantastic. It just feels somehow bigger and more real than any other song I've ever heard on Songfight. The tiny sterilized synthesizer and the bass just suck me in. I heard you at Songfight live in PA, and for some reason I didn't check out your back catalog at that point, but now... away I go. Great song.

Also, yeah, it was kinda made up on the spot. Members of Mad Dog's other band, the pathetic wannabees, emailed him a bunch of lyrical suggestions that he printed out and improvised from, and we provided music to suit after hearing him out for a few takes.

Thanks! The name on this one is "Wages of Sin". Obscurity did the great music (I thought he did a great job!). I just did the singing.

Rain down hell: The noise in the background is annoying. Actually, so is the rest of this. Shortly after the minute mark I gave up, because it was getting painful to listen to.

Frankie Big Face: That guitar sound reminds me of the twin peaks theme during the intro. I was just thinking how dull it was when the chorus came in, and woke me up. I like the chorus a hell of a lot more than the verse, cool guitar, great drum programming, lots o' life in there. I just wish the verses weren't so comatose.

Glenn case: Nice bass. Song's got bit of a sing-a-long feel to it that I don't care for much. I like the inconstant drums. Ending sounded a bit forced, but I can sympathise. An ok song that doesn't do a lot for me.

ZeaLous1 feat. DarkHeart: Nice organ dude! Slick drums. In fact, well produced all-round. But you're fighting a losing battle with me, rap as a genre just leaves me cold.

Brandon Ellison: Man, this is a strange one. Some bits sound way cool, other bits just don't seem to work at all, and it's difficult to put my finger on which is which. I think I can safely say I liked the piano, tho'. I think.

Sylon Pilson: I can't get over the lyrics here, I really don't like them at all. Did you eat a rhyming dictionary for breakfast? The music's pretty good, and fairly catchy, but it's saddled with those lyrics. And no, damnit, I don't want fries, stop fucking asking.

Emergency Pizza Party: Danger! Danger! Genre Bias Overload! Disconnect MP3 player and retire to a safe distance!

J.R. Stinkenstein: Just when I thought it was safe to return to my mp3 player, I get fuckin' country!. Sorry, nothing constructive to offer, this or the previous song, just totally NMCOT.

Wormsweater: winamp refuses to play your song. Perhaps it knows something I don't, or perhaps it just hates me.

Wages Of Sin: I'm not really very happy with the mix here, sorry. I couldn't figure out why the vocals sounded so distant in time, but I've since realised that they got double-reverbed by mistake. Sorry to Wages for that, I could have made this sound better than I did.

Scrap Heap: No review for you, I gave up on you over at somesongs.

Yes Yes No Yes???: Awful production. Did you record this through a cheapo computer mic? Trying to look beyond the production, the song's way too repetitive.

Octothorpe: Everything I've come to expect from #; needless to say, I didn't like it. You guys always sound to me like you're just taking the piss.

Jim Tyrell: Thank you! I was beginning to think I must be in a really foul mood because I've not really liked much that I've listened to tonight, but I really enjoyed this. Great drums. Would have sounded awesome with an organ in the background. Nice work!
