Not to jump ahead of ourselves...venue estabishment an' all that

However... If we needed to > I do have and could maybe bring:

600 watt (2x 300) Gigrac 8 (XLR) channel PA head (with 2 1/4 jacks and two other channels with RCA inputs) Phantom power available.

15" 2x JBL Cabnets w/ Stands

8 channel Mackie mixing board (4 XLR channels with Phantom available and 4 stereo 1/4 connections)

I'd bring my washburns too (bass & guitar)

I can't commit this equipment until I know how I'm getting up there...but if it is needed... I can make my travel decisions based on this. There is a chance my band may be able to make it as well. Dre? Road Trip?

HAHAHA, yeah, I was really pissed about that!

Anyway, August is out for me.

If I come, any time will likely be fine for me. Nobody in my immediate or extended family is likey to get married, the possibility of death is impossible to plan for, and my job doesn't have anything major scheduled for the summer. So it is highly likely that I am in regardless of when it is.

I can make no promises, however.

Oh man, I've been doing Songfight off and on for 2 years now, and I haven't gone to a SFLive event yet. I would like to make my best effort to come! Georgia isn't TOO much of a stretch from where I am, and I think I could make the road trip for sure. Of course, if it's late enough in the year, I get to start taking advantage of flight benefits that my sister has and will be able to extend to me finally! That means flying for only the cost of tax!

I'd be an idiot for not coming to this, considering how I live in Atlanta and all.

So after a decent amount of thought, I've decided July is the best month for Songfight Live! And of course, my decision is all-important. What month is everyone else looking at?

Speaking of Atlanta, I imagine there are a bunch of Civil War sites around there since there were battles and all that. Anything good?

That could be entertaining. I know nothing about civil war stuff there, though.

The Battle of Atlanta took place RIGHT ON TOP OF MY HOUSE. Literally. There's a cannon monument nearby. Yearly festival and everything.

As well as the Atlanta scene in history... which also includes a 360 degree painting accross the way from the zoo...there are plenty of sites north of the city including Kennesaw Mountain park which is a great place to have a picnic. Very scenic and full of history. Marrietta square is nice and you can hit both of those in the same couple o' hours as they are just minutes away driving.

Of course, there is always Underground Atlanta... plenty of history there... just outside of the food court. (tourist trap mall like history center at Five Points at the center of downtown)

I'm going to be there the third week of June, so those who can come really early can celebrate the summer solstice with me.

Ughghh why are we doing August again. What was wrong with June/July. Or one of the first two weekends of August. My first day of class is August 20th. I'm two hours from Spokane airport. Pleeze don't do a Sunday show if you do this date.

Yeah, August won't work for me. But that doesn't mean anything other than my under rehearsed set won't take up time. Late July is best but I can't be too picky.

So *now* you have an opinion. Heh.

Thurs-Fri-Sat concerts are also possible. Yes, I was thinking three nights, with maybe a day-gallery show like we did in Boston. I'm tired of playing for 15 minutes. Who knows. It's early.

Basically, I'm just framing up the time with more details to fill in depending.

The weekend of Aug 4 is OUT.

June 28-29-30 is in play, if more people can come to that. I'm going to start a poll.

Yeah, I am sorry I didn't chime in. I mentioned in the other thread my preference and didn't see, or think, to repeat myself here. I looked again after having posted that and noticed I didn't post in here, which I suppose was an oversight. Thank-you for your understanding.
