What did you get? Music-related or not, presents are one of the true meanings of Christmas, and I think we all want to know what cool toys everybody got.

The notables: iPod nano, Weird Al: Alpalooza and Straight out of Lynwood, Skillet: Comatose, and various little things that I didn't ask for, like a little nerf gun, chocolate, and a cool dancing chicken. The iPod is getting the most use so far (I've got about 450 songs on it so far, and still going strong)

I don't actually have it in hand yet, but I got to order the Grateful Dead's new CD set from New Year's Eve '76-'77 at the Cow Palace... which I was at!

Thats really cool yo. I once bought Paul McCartney's Tripping The Live Fantastic in hopes that one of the tracks were recorded at the Atlanta show I attended. But alas, it was not meant to be.

I got for Christmas: Red Hot Chili Pepper tickets.

That photo is classic. X-mas booty: my sister overnighted some food from the skank-a-licious Frontier Restaurant in Albuquerque, NM.

Non music related = A bunch of stuff I don't need, but it's the thought that counts. :?......well, except for my Hickory Farms cheeses of the world sampler, I needed that.

Music related = GoldWave Digital Audio Editor. Being new to the computer studio craziness, I don't know how this program compares, but I've been impressed so far. Good or bad, I figure this will get me familiar with the music program lingo.

I got:

Book: Making Comics by Scott McCloud. So far, it's fantastic.
DVD: The Venture Bros. Season One. Also very good.
DVD: The Weird Al Show - The Complete Series. Haven't watched it yet.
Book: Rebel Without A Crew by Robert Rodriguez.
...and clothes and a new pair of shoes.

My oldest son, Andy, got me a business organizer thingy and a pen. My folks got me a 50 dollar gift certificate to Best Buy. I intend to get Guitar Hero with it as soon as they're back in stock.

Andy, incidentally, got the Lego Star Wars Slave I kit, and we spent most of Christmas day putting it together. It was the biggest kit either of us had ever taken on, and it went well. He's pictured below, admiring one of baby Sean's stocking stuffers.

I would like to say that I am not materialistic, but I absolutely am.

Also: Amazon wishlists freaking rule.

Here are some of the cool things I acquired as a result of the holiday season.

Maxtor 500GB External Hard Drive
The Brak Show - Season 1 (DVD)
The Brak Show - Season 2 (DVD)
Robot Chicken - Season 1 (DVD)
Elvis Costello - This Year's Model (CD)
Steely Dan - Can't Buy a Thrill (CD)
"Abbey Road" Beatles Poster
A Sudoku related item

Yes, I am a spoiled brat. This is not everything, but it's the things I remember from the top of my head.

ROCK!

I must've been a good boy this year:
- bicycle jersey and shorts
- wet suit
- running shoes
- heart rate monitor

(guess what I'm gearing up to do this year...)

- oh and I bought myself a new bass guitar

Bjam, if ThinkGeek accepted Neteller transactions, I would totally buy you something really cheap from your list.
