Yeah, I'm not sure where to post this... Politics and other crap seemed as apt as anyplace, since this is current events, so...
It appears that the mythic lost city of Atlantis has been found about thirty miles from Cypress.

We're not talking about solipsism here. This is about how a deeply held belief is armoured against being disproven by experience. We've all encountered people who refuse to let the evidence of their own eyes refute what they 'know' to be the truth.
