Want to help out with a 007 theme song after tw3rp?

Whatever the title!
Who's in? I'm thinking an electric guitar, timps, strings, brass, wind, classy female vocals. Maybe acappella sections with voice percussion... could go electronic, if Garbage can do it, so can we. Definitely thinking 'the more the merrier' here.
Will get more details once the title is posted. (Of course, not allowed to have any before it is

)
Either post or PM if you fancy it.

I think that you should wait until there is an appropriate title for that type of thing.

Sorry.
There is one now, and it will do fine.
edit: (By which I mean, I think it is an appropriate title)
That could just be wishful thinking of course.

Haha, this would be a great Bond theme
I wish I was in some way talented in a way that would help your project, but I really doubt it. Good luck though! And if you need something really strange or soundcapey, lemme know.

I was thinking Bames Jond and the Gussy Palore.

Do you have anything down yet Spin? I haven't started mine yet and I'm really busy this week, but maybe I can offer clever ideas once I hear where you're taking this song.

have a poke around in
http://songfight.amuses.me.uk/
anything called drums is an idea that I've started and possibly abandoned.
Main problem is coming up with an epic sounding chorus
Like Goldeneye, or Tomorrow never dies have. Without, of course, stealing their brilliant choruses

Those sound pretty good. I like the third one down, but the lyrics on the forth one.
It might be cool to do a Secret Agent man type bass line as an intro, then kick into your song, then do a bridge with the Secret Agent man bass line again with a smoke'n keyboard solo, then an outro with the Secret Agent man bass line again. The nice thing about that bass line is that it's been used and altered so many times, that it's acceptable to use it without sounding like you are coping the original....if that makes sense.

Or like Nobody Does It Better by Carly Simon, only in reverse? Just an idea ...

Per the pre-fight thread, I can do vocals if you need 'em.

Wages - Thanks for the offer

I've hopefully arranged female vocals already though via Wes, as women bond songs seem to work well.
Looks like you and BLT are hooking up, and I am totally looking forward to that.
BLT - /uhm. Secret agent man? Eep. I guess I shouldn't have started this project having done so little research.
You REALLY like that bass line, huh

Thanks for the comments anyway. I have stuck with the third one down.

I saw this and said to myself, "ooh...just in time to scratch my itch to use the baritone guitar" when I played the sample and heard a much better performance than I probably could've mustered. Looking forward to hearing this done with voice - good luck, sir(s)!

Having real guitar in the track would pwn!
If your baritone is still unloved on sunday and we have it ready for adding guitars to, would you perhaps reconsider?

I'm sorry, I gave you totally wrong info. Secret Agent Man is not the famous bass line I was referring to. I was just looking for a sample for you and realized I don't know the title of the song I was imagining, damn it. The bass line I'm referring to is a very driving and predominate line in the song.
I'll look for it, or do it on my bass and post it.

You're not thinking of the Dr. No one are you? I think it's a rule that bond themes have to have that in somewhere.
e. f. f#.f.
that sorta thing.

I couldn't find it, so I recorded it real quick. I love computer recording, woot!
This is the
famous Bass line I was referring to.

Ahh!
Yeah, lots of people have stolen that. Last I heard was Daniel Bedingfield.
On my Blues Bros. CD that's listed as Peter Gunn Theme.
Nice performance of it btw.

Yep, that's Peter Gunn alright. One of the coolest TV theme tunes of all time.
