Hey:
I'm proud to announce the release of my new album, a collection of 16 old-school punk rock tunes for children, “Silly grown-ups, punk is for kids” by Jam Toast.
This is 3-chord fun for the whole family, featuring the soon-to-be-hits "Rollerskating wiener dogs," "My Sandbox rocks" and "Rock! Paper! Scissors!" All songs are written by me, with vocal duties shared by me and my two boys, Drew (7) and Owen (3).
Check out http://www.jamtoast.ca to learn more, read lyrics and listen to a few tunes. Be the first on your block to buy your very own copy of "Jam Toast - Silly grown-ups, punk is for kids!"
Cheers,
Smalltown Mike.

As a parent, this line on your web site killed me dead:

"Ever wish those wheels on the bus would just fall off once and for all?"

Holy crap, dude. Awesome. I don't even like punk, and I may have to buy it on principle.

Thanks, Roymond. "My Sandbox Rocks"—featuring both my boys on vocals—is the favourite at my house.

Thanks, Minty. I wrote this album because everywhere I took my boys I was bombarded with yet one more version of Wheels on the Bus. Why do parents listen to rock and roll their whole lives and then keep it from their own kids? Crazy.

I hope this album gives parents and kids a change of pace.

In case you didn't hear me say it elsewhere, this CD is just great. Get one, if you don't have one. Do it for the kids. :)

I agree Jim. I'll go so far as to call the album inspired.

Great work Mike.

Just ordered mine.

BTW: Very pleased to hear from the demos on the website that Canadians pronounce the 26th letter of the alphabet correctly (nothing worse than hearing kiddies learn their alphabet from 'Sesame Street' and saying "...X, Y, Zee")

Haha, funny you should mention... My kids were caught completely off guard when they heard that.

And it got me thinking - Canada's not too far away, and it would make a fascinating trip for the boys, I bet. I think a road trip to acquaint ourselves with our neighbors to the north might be in order. Maybe this summer, if the baby is fit for a road trip of that length by then.

Do I smell a coverfight?

Hey, FYI: my wife bought it, we've been playing it in the car, and it's terrific. The kids aren't old enough to register a definitive vote, but it perks them up, and we'll have plenty of time to get their input (once they have words) since I find myself playing it even without the kids in the car. Great job!

Thanks, Minty; I'm glad you're digging it.

The kind folks at Suite 101 like it, too. You can read my interview with them here.

I don' think I ever told you this. But I played the "Jam Toast Theme" on my college radio show. The two other DJs looked at me like i was crazy. I was dancing around and smiling, "pick it up, pick it up, It's Hot!"

Great job man. :D
