WHAT????!!!!! That's what was so cool about it. You could totally climb it and be in danger and everything. There were no stupid bars stopping you from falling to certain death--it was perfect. That's really disturbing. I'm sad.

Is that for safety or cultural reasons?
It pisses me off when you go to
Uluru, even with all the signs saying that the traditional owners of the rock would prefer people respected their laws and customs and didn't climb it - there are still thousands of dickhead tourists (Seppos, probably) crawling all over it.
