I have three gigs lined up for this week, so if you're looking for a heapin' helpin' of Wes, there's plenty to go around.
First, tonight, at The Lair in downtown, I'll be doing a showcase at 7:45. I don't know if there's a cover, but I can't imagine it costs much, if anything. It's not part of the actual SxSW event, but they sure are capitalizing on it!
Thursday night, March 15, I'll be at a nice little bar/eatery called B.B. Rover's, performing from 10:00 to 10:45, with a few other cats. I've only heard one of the people play before, and she's pretty good. She'll be kicking the evening off at 7, if I'm not mistaken. It's totally free, and they have over 300 different types of beer! So if you're a beer snob, you'll surely be satisfied.
Saturday night, March 17, I'm going to be at a little known place called BENNIGAN'S. I'm going to be performing at 7 o'clock, in the one at Riverside and Barton Springs, just south of Downtown, if I'm not mistaken. I've never been there, but I do know that they are charging a cover, and I'll be getting paid a meager sum for my performance. I think the cover is like 2 or 3 bucks, and I know the dude doing the booking, as I've performed for him at another place he does regular booking at. This is for a St. Patty's Day bash, so expect me to play a couple Irish-sounding songs! I'm thinking of learning Deshead's Wrath of God for it. It would go well with the atmosphere.
