You have a good team. Pity about our 3-point shooting, since you couldn't stop Oden. I don't know why the hype is all around Noah/Horford/Green; they're good, but Humphrey is your real killer.

Funny how the ref's don't let Oden play for but a handful of minutes the past 3 weeks and how when he finally does get to play some meaningful minutes last night, how tired he got.

I also think it will be interesting to see if Florida suffers the same fate as a certain Michigan team did a while back.

Don't get too fond of those banners.

"letting oden play" = a bazillion non-calls. FL would have won by 30 if the refs had called a fair game.

Yeah, I was looking for the charge call against Brewer in that one too. He clearly is coming up under Oden there who had postion while Brewer is just trying to draw contact. Real smart move by him trying to take it to the hole on a 7 foot tall defensive minded center.

My point was that in the 3 previous rounds Greg Oden was "allowed" to play a total of 18 minutes vs. Tennessee, 24 minutes vs. Memphis, and 20 minutes vs. Gerogetown where he picked up 2 very quick ticky-tack fouls in less than 3 minutes in what was supposed to be the matchup of the best 2 centers in the tournament. The ref's were clearly making themselves too much a part of the outcome of games, and someone finally, mercifully, told them to take their rightful place in the background. And by the time he finally got the benefit of being allowed to play, he wasn't in basketball shape anymore because he hadn't really played in weeks.

Ease up Blue, your team won. Do you really want to be pissy because your team didn't win by 30? That would have been an entertaining game to watch.

I honestly hope Noah got something for sticking around, because he just fell from the top pick in the draft to maybe fifth if Oden and Durant come out. Here's how that plays out in my mind:

1) Greg Oden
2) Kevin Durant
3) Corey Brewer
4) Al Horford
5) Joakim Noah
6) Some European player I've never heard of (This mystery player could fall anywhere in the 3 to 5 spots)

Unless all of these guys decide to stick it out for another year which totally messes up my draft order. But I think the odds of that are pretty much incalculable.

EDIT: Oh and I gave you the example of Michigan not O.S.U., what makes you think their program is dirty? Oden and Conley chose not to go to I.U. (where they should be because they're Indiana products) because of Mike Davis' uncertain future. If you know something I don't in that regard please share it. I'm not a big Buckeye fan anyway. And no, I don't have any evidence that Florida's program is dirty (other than their proximity to the U, of Miami) I'm just saying, it wouldn't surprise me either.

Michigan had to forfeit a bunch of 90's games :D

i don't give a wang about the NBA or the draft, and winning by 30 w/Oden on the bench would have been plenty entertaining for me. :D i'm saying, call the damn game fairly. that's it. if oden didn't foul, fine - but there's just no way in hell you block that many shots in a guy's face and don't foul. it's impossible.

Yeah, they also had to take down their Final Four and Big Ten Championship banners.

Ouch.
