Goog morning. I'm so glad it's Friday.
This morning, only minutes from my alarm, our terrible(loud, rude, involved in a drive by shooting right across the street from our house) neighbors had their convertable car parked in the alley right outside my bedroom window, blasting
Hmong easy listening. That kinda pissed me off.
As soon as I get to work I have to buckle down and try to get some work done before the company picnic.
How many/what kind of pets do you have? If none, what pets have you had in the past?
We have 3 cats (that's 2 cats too many). They are Devil, Gwennie and Nixon. All girls, all related. Devil and Gwennie are sisters and Nixon is Devils daughter. The only good cat is Gwennie. I'm sure Phil will have plenty to say about the cats.

It's raining here, and that's cooled things off a bit. Yesterday it was over 80. Unbelievable.
Today is work. One of our people is leaving today, so we're having a lunch for her. It's being catered by Mandarin Taste. Mmm. Someone tell General Gau it's time to take up arms once again. The battle is on!
Tonight my
classic rock cover band is playing at
The Bad Moose.
We have two very large cats named Buca and Hooch. We adopted a greyhound named Decoy in the late 90s, but sadly, we had to give her up because she had a fear-biting problem, and we were gonna have kids. Greyhounds are generally very friendly, but this one was apprently treated poorly at the track, and it turned her into a spastic (and sometimes violent) creature.
LUNCH UPDATE: I'm told that the girl who is leaving is allergic to Chinese food (??), so they're getting sandwiches from the local deli instead. Say it with me, everybody: BOOOO!! I know some of you like to eat a sandwich, but I don't. I might go get Chinese anyway.
WEATHER UPDATE: The rain, which had been forecast as an all-day event, is gone. It's sunny and warm now.

2 cats: Owen (the girl) and Ninja (the boy)
and 1 hamster: Dexter.

Friday, which means it's cleaning day. I've been doing better at housecleaning than I have at cooking stuff; one of the tricks I figured out was that cleaning the kitchen wears me out, whenever I do it, so it's now one of the
last rooms I work on... these new Swiffer and Clorox wetmop gizmos really help, too. Some days I manage to just plunge into housework and by lunchtime it's mostly done; other times I mix it in with computer projects and stuff and then it
never gets finished... today will probably be one of those days when I start out planning to attack and get it over with, but get distracted a lot...
QOTD: we have had seven dogs: Caliche, Sadie, Kelly, Kristen, Johnny, Glory and Nancy, mostly labs/goldens. We got Caliche as a puppy in 1987, and I have been the official dogwalker ever since... if you figure a 3-mile walk, 300 days a year, 20 years, that's 18,000 miles of dogwalking! No wonder I'm so tired!
We also foster dogs for
AzRESCUE, a group that does pound rescues of dogs and cats, and we are currently on foster dog #42! Here, let me pull out my virtual wallet and show you my
pictures (866 kb). The ones with the fancy gold name tags are ones we adopted ourselves. Sadly, Nancy, who we fostered for a long time and then adopted last November, escaped and was hit by a car and killed about a month ago...

It's cool that you do rescue work, King. That's how we have so many guinea pigs. Rayna was abandoned in a box in Chelsea while Anya was with a horder who had over 100 cavies among other animals. When we first got her, she had a bad ear infection which gave her a head tilt. Imagine a guinea pig with its head sideways.
In other news...
I just fell madly in love with Tommy Heavenly6, think Avril Lavigne Japanese and a little gothy. I want her song "Heavy Starry Chain" on mp3 but being that I am in NY and know zero Japanese, finding this seems like it'll be mission impossible. So I will be playing the video repeatedly on YouTube just to hear the song.

if the UPS website can be trusted, sometime today i will be receiving the 24,000 piece puzzle i ordered awhile back.
last year i finished an 18,000 one that ended up being 10 feet by 5 feet. it took 18 months to do, including 6 weeks for the initial sorting of the pieces.
as for pets, we have 2 dogs (blessing and justice) and 2 cats (nature and kauai).

FACE BOOK IS EVIL.
When you haven't seen, talked to our THOUGHT about some people in 18-20 years, it sure is freakin weird to ... well do so.
At work. Haven't filed my taxes. Don't know why I am here.
Plan on getting happered tonight. Going to Tofino on the weekend. Want to put my new drum heads on the kit... going for a new sound. Kinda excited about it.
Why are a lot of kids in the music store playing Iron Maiden riffs these days? Is there no cool MODERN riffs for anyone to play? (someone point them to me...but dont' fuck around with crap chordal stuff... I said RIFFS.)
Final question of the day... if life is so good, and I'm on the surface so happy and hunky dory, why do I feel like SOMETHING IS REALLY FUCKING WRONG?
Hey. It's sunny out.

Meeting friends for lunch at my fav fish taco stand
Love eating lunch ON the beach
Well, not ON the beach, but the patio over looking THE beach
Nothing worse than sand in your taco.

Taking my board with me for a quicky

Surprised Caravan Ray added me in his Nur Ein top 20 round one list

I overslept, barely missed the last bus which would have gotten me to work in time for a meeting, the next bus was 15 minutes late. Coworker just pointed out to me that $SECRET_PROJECT is supposed to launch in $REALLY_SHORT_TIMEFRAME and there's still a major open issue that we're not sure how we want to handle, and even if we did I don't think we could implement a fix and do all the regression testing in time, etc. but OH WELL.

Hi Jack,
Tom has tagged a photo of you in the album "Songfight 2004".

I feel like I should friend people in the Songfight group but I have no idea who most of them are. "Well, they're a guy, and... hm. Ohh, maybe it's--hm, no..."
I brought gorgeous makeup(MAC

) for prom next week, and watched the Jeopardy college final (the cute guy won

)
As for my pets, I have a kitty cat, Starbuck. Her tail doesn't work(it just kinda dangles there and looks pathetic) and
half her ear is missing, but she's
a bad ass. She enjoys(read: is addicted to) Dentabites. She once tried to escape. Well, no. I went out to get the mail, and left the door open, but the screen door shut, I went down the path to the mailbox, got the mail out, and she was at my feet. Not cool. So I threw the mail everywhere, scruffed her, and ran to the house and shoved her inside.

She was pretty pissed at me for the rest of the day. Outside is not a good place around here as we're right next to a busy(for around here) road, and without her tail she has very bad balance.
Used to have Kira and Neelix (can you tell my family are nerds yet?) but we left them at the RSPCA when we moved over here (6 months in quarrantine? Not good, especially for Kira who went crazy if she was indoor for more than 5 hours).

Did you regiment yourself to 37 pieces a day?
Heather already mentioned our pets, but I just want to give a shout out to my rats of the past, Ratley, Caramel, Otter and Livey.
I am covered in some kind of bites. So maybe I have pet fleas as well?
I'm super itchy, but work should be pretty casual tonight, thank Jom.
Tomorrow, I have to change a circuit breaker in the basement. No lights in the bathroom, no overheads in the bedrooms! Dimsville!
My finger is finally recovering enough from my cat bite that I can play guitar, but there is a bunch of ugly, discolored, disgusting dead meat hanging off of it, but the dead bits go too deep to pick off at this point.
Hopefully I survive this round of Nur Ein (which shouldn't be too hard [i hope.]]) so I can play some damn guitar on the next one. Like, a lot of guitar. (Premonition: Non-Optional challenge = NO GUITAR.)
I am finally going to the doctor for my butt-leg on wednesday.
I hope they prescribe a lot of guitar.
