Happy Father's Day! Go dads!

Just had Father's Day breakfast: Snoopy waffles, sausage, fruit salad, and lots of coffee.

Today I'm tearing apart (and hopefully rebuilding) the computer/music room. If you don't hear from me for a while, you can assume it didn't go as well as I hoped. Hehe.

Edit: Oh yeah, a Question Of The Day. Let's see. How about: What movie(s) do you never get tired of watching?

For me, Shaun Of The Dead is a fairly recent one. I've seen it maybe 20 times since I got it on DVD, and it has yet to get old.

I too have enjoyed the wonders of homemade waffles this morning + bacon. And the kids gave me cards and this great picture key chain.

QotD: I don't think I can tire of watching the Breakfast Club. Too many brilliant lines for me to ever get tired of it.

QotSA: I can walk in to Groundhog Day, Blues Brothers, Apocalypse Now or the Breakfast Club at any point in the movie and I will likely watch it until the end.

Oh, last night we watched the last 2 Trailer Park Boys and also the first Green Wing. TPB was pretty satisfying, but I was rolling on the floor watching Green Wing. The initial hook for checkin' that show out was what's her face, Tamsin Grieg, from Black Books, but hott fudge, that show was fuggim hilarious.

Well, I did get out early and surfed for a couple hours
Back home and everyone is still sleeping (8:30'ish here)
No plans for today other than chillaxing
Listened to the Nur Ein round 5 songs while driving to and fro this morning
Simply splendid
I don't record enough unplugged songs
Maybe it's a good thing?
Nur Ein has really pushed me to think outside the box
It's been fun to say the least
I want to do something nice with acoustic guitars one of these days
Full on brushes on the drums, acoustic bass, the whole 9
Maybe even get Steve D on a little muted trumpet
Something a little funky, like G Love and Special Sauce
But with a BLT dark and twisted vibe

I'd say my all time movie with staying power would be Scarface with Al Pacino.
But I also can re watch movies over and over with stupid memorable quotes, like Super Troopers or pretty much anything with Jay and silent Bob. I just watched Dogma again yesterday on comedy central.

Raising Arizona and Repo Man. I already woke up too late today, and now I've got to go get breakfast before work. This week has been nuts, I moved out of my place and back in with the parents for the summer (laugh all you want, I've never drunk more great beer in my life).

Completely. It is a great film. The only problem is that the female lead's character is pretty useless in general, she doesn't do much for herself.

I'll second 'The Princess Bride" Great movie.

3 movies I actually do watch over and over again - they are on virtual constant repeat thanks to my daughter (who turned 3 yesterday - or today for the rest of you) are Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid and The Aristocats.. Of these The Aristocats is my favourite. Nemo is pretty good to, it has grown on me - I didn't like it much the first time I saw it. And at least it has some real Australian accents in it (I have a nephew who sounds American because he watches too much 'Rugrats'). Mermaid is wearing a bit thin - though it does have 2 good songs and Ariel is sort of hot (does anyone know if there is an uncut version of the bit where she gets legs - cos you know she has no pants on there but you don't see anything. I mean, I'm not a perv or nothing, but there should be a bit more realism there. If Prince Eric wandered along and saw some shelia on the beach wearing a shell bra and no knickers - it probably would have sped the whole 'first kiss' thing up enormously).

I drank a good deal of alcohol last night. I saw another drunk guy plant a bottle rocket into some mulch and light it across from the Village Pantry. It turned out to be a very insignificant flare that lasted for less than five seconds. Before that I held a kitten named Nunchucks, drank beer at a place called The Heorot and walked a very long distance in my flip-flops (which created blisters between my toes). It was a good night.

DRC: I got up at noon after being up way too late last night from a jolly good time at karaoke, and played a lot of Twilight Princess. This game just keeps getting better and better.

I watch that movie like one would listen to a good record. (I have the soundtrack too, but I prefer to watch it) Whenever I'm feeling lonely ... I'll have a few beers and pop that in.

Lounged about, bought wedding rings, saw The Long Goodbye on the big screen, drank spanish coffees and listened to live jazz, then went home. Another good day.

I know! It's been great. I think I had to find that good beer that made me love it. Then it was pretty smooth sailing after that. For me it was Tiger Beer (Singha is great too) when I was in Thailand, which, fortunately, is sold at the liquor store a block from my apartment.
