Webmaster question

I figured the brilliant minds at SF would be able to answer this question.

A friend of mine is starting her own law firm and needs to have a website. She's not the most web savvy person, so she would need someone to do general upkeep on her site (keeping it running, updating the information, etc). What is the going rate for a webmaster? How inexpensively can she get someone to run her website?

Much of this question is answered here.

Edit -- took out the search highlights. Oops.

Not exactly what I was looking for. I'm more looking for the cost of a webmaster, not the designer.

Your question is relative.

It depends on how much upkeep and what kind. If it's some text here and there, you might could get someone around here for that.

If it's got shopping cart and products change all the time, or you want 'neat stuff' or it to be dynamic with constant changes, thats gonna take more talent and time... therefore... well, you see the point I'm sure.

RELATIVE PLUG: http://www.assortedinternet.com <-- talk to these guys, they are friends of mine and I've known the owner for years. They can help you set up and host cheaply and they know people who could help with upkeep. If it's simple enough up keep, they know me. I'm sure they'd negotiate monthly rates or hourly ones based on whatever it is she needed.

The HipCola runs/ran a hosting service as a side gig. Might do the webmaster thing too.
