Woohoo. Tomorrow, I am off to Chicago. So much preparing to do.

Question of the Day:
What does your significant other think of your music?

My wife is very supportive of my music. She'll get me instruments and support whatever music endeavours I undertake. But when it comes to listening to it. Nope. Not since back in the high school days. My tunes are much too doom and gloom for her palette.

My wife is, very surprisingly, supportive of my music, and much more so than all of my friends put together. I have no talent for singing (or really for anything else), but she always is interested in hearing my songs, and just swoons when I write a song about her. In fact, now that I'm trying to do some songs for SongFight, she's my test audience.

My wife is very supportive and has a short (ok, pretty short) list of favorites on semi-normal rotation. Her most frequent comment is that I over produce things. She likes the rough demo versions. But she says this of almost anything. Except U2.

Hellish red-eye flight at least got me here. Not going to be a fun day, so getting a good latte buzz...

Is "here" back home? If so, what are you doing for lunch on Wednesday?

Just getting in from the weekend shows. My next isn't until Friday, when I drive back up to The Balsams. This coming Sunday is the start of the Beach Bar series at The Margate. This'll be the third year I've done that one.

Today? Recovery. I'm beat.

QotD: My wife likes some of my stuff. Most, I guess. Playing shows keeps me on the road a little more than we'd like, but it allows her to stay home full-time with the boys.

Monday. I drank hard during the afternoon yesterday to make it so I'd be asleep by midnight. This was in order to get my body prepared for the regular hour work week.

qotd: I don't have a significant other. Would you like some salt or lemon juice to pour in that wound?

Most of my girlfriends have liked whatever I was producing...bands / recordings/ yadda yadda. My last girlfriend , not so much.

Today I begin trying to figure out the chords and parts of the next cover song I'm tarnishing. That can be a slow process for me sometimes, but as I hardly ever cover a song it's good for me to do. Gotta jump back into the fights too, and start doing...something.

QOTD - My music is generally pretty well received. I get honest and blunt feedback like "I don't like the banging music" or " The music is well played". Always comes back to the voice which is "no, it's not good, but alright in some parts." Sounds about right to me, I dare say.

Since you asked :D, 1993 here. Our anniversary is July 3. That's also my parents' anniversary, and my dad's birthday. We're all going to York Beach, ME to celebrate.

Hahahhahahaha, indeed, what I meant was "When did this place become populated with so many married people?"

But yay For July 3! (My birthday is July 2)

Monday fun day
20 calls before 8:00am
Time to get the billing out
Haven't checked my lotto numbers from Saturday yet
Want to feel like there's light at the end of the tunnel for a little longer
Pretty sure I'm going to win this time

QOTD:
My wife hates my music
Although, she likes it when I just play my acoustic and sing
She always thinks my songs are about her in one way or another
She feels I'm writing about our personal business, and that bothers her
I write about my life or how I view the world a lot, so I guess things are going to get close to home from time to time
I try to generalize as much as I can, so that people can relate in their own similar way.
But she still feels that I get too personal.
Oh well, whatchya gonna do?

My SO thinks I should spend less time on my guitar solos and more time on her vocals. ;)

My wife would like to add that she does listen to my music. Yes, she listens to The Yellow Crayon is Missing (the noise band with the kinderlings).

Your SO?
I think I should spend more time playing my flute on my wifes vocal chords.
...what?, who said that?

Gotta try and get these two enewsletters ready for proofing today. Our contribution to pointless spam continues! Still trying to break in the new sales person, which seems somewhat weird, as she used to work here about a year ago. Remember, dammit! Remember!

QotD:
Mostly my gf looks on with quiet horror.

My husband supports my music whole heartedly, if fact he writes and performs it too.

A not long enough weekend turned into a long and tired Monday. I was asked to some work that made me feel out of my comfort zone, disenrolling people always makes me nervous, it's so permanent. I had a lot of meetings and a lot of TOEFL exceptions make. I had a throbbing headache by 3:00. I did get scheduled for the final interview on Thursday with the big wigs... so my whole week will be leading up to that. Tomorrow and Wednesday I'm in all day meetings, so at least I'll have my mind occupied elsewhere.

Phil let me take a nap for an hour when I got home. The kids were being so cute, so it was hard to take him up on the offer. But, the headache took over.

I watched Fishing with John on dvd til about 6 am this morning. Then I went to bed and woke up at about 2 pm. I hate that my schedule is like this again. :x

qotd: The girls I've dated haven't been impressed by my music. I think I'm just not attracted to girls who are impressed with me. :?

QOTD: I'm a bit young to have an actual significant other, but most of my friends like my music - most people at my school get some kind of respect if they can even write music, much less record it.
