Completely kicks ass. Funny, real, smart, even slightly scary. It's already left the first-run houses here and is in the bargain theatres, but tonight it was packed and the mostly young hip audience totally loved it. Why isn't this movie a bigger deal? It's going to be one of those movies no one saw in the theatres but that is required viewing on video.

I for one had to see it as soon as I could so I went out and saw it. However, it's a movie that doesn't require the big screen.

Shaun of the Dead is insanely fun. I first saw it courtesy of a British DVD my brother got, and then saw it on the big screen when it came out over here. It's especially fun when you're sitting in the cinema, with an American audience, but my British family. I'm sure we got at least half a dozen odd looks every time we snickered at something that left the Americans in the dark. But it's still an awesome movie, and hey, zombies are always good.

Totally great film. Love the steady cam shots, one without the zombies at the beginning and the same camera move with the zombies after the night of getting wasted. Loads of fun, but the ending was kind of a groaner. Worth the rent to watch.

I have to admit this was a hillarious movie, its one of those that leaves the idiots I live with going HUH? Which I love by the way. I have to say my favorite scene is where they are outside Shaun's house and they are throwing the records. A definate must have for any comedy fan.

I'd actually say it's probably better on the small screen... I'm a little squeamish when it comes to "OH MAN LET'S RIP OUT HIS GUTS AND HAVE THEM BE ALL BROWN AND BLACK" scenes. It's not one of those pleasant, tingly suspenseful moments so much as just scatological. I don't mind gore, so long as it's gory suspense, not just nasty shit.
Still an A in my book, though.

This gets better and better each time I watch it.
Now in second place to my all time favourite 'Return Of The Living Dead'.

Saw a preview for Romero's Land of the Dead last night. Not impressed, at least by the trailer...
