well, i posted that topic about music and who on this board writes their own outside of these songfights. im just gonna post my bands myspace for people to listen to. I know i could go around to other members profiles and look for links to their bands websites, myspaces, and what not. just thought id make it alittle easier and post it here.
http://www.myspace.com/awaitrescue
feedback is appreciated although thats not why im doing this. its just interesting to me to see what people do besides this with their music talents.
cheers!

Hello Jawknee, welcome to Songfight, please don't suck, etc...
You're heading down the road to a flame-tastic smackdown, so in an attempt to spare you that fate, I wanted to alert you to some unwritten* tidbits of Songfight etiquette.
Before starting a new thread -- ask yourself, "May there already be a thread that addresses this issue/question/rant?"
In this case you'll find that there are in fact quite a few threads already devoted to your question.
Here and
here for example. ...not to mention the other thread you started yourself.
When starting a new thread -- ask yourself, "Is the title of this thread clear?"
Would someone searching the forums for specific information immediately know what this thread was about? "Music" and "Again with the Music" aren't sufficiently descriptive.
In any case, most of us have musical lives outside of Songfight. A little sleuthing on your part will yield a wealth of musical goodies!

*I actually think these "rules" are written somewhere...but I can't recall where.

Hey, I like that song on your myspace. Are you still auditioning bass players? I wish I lived closer; I'd have fun playing that.

I still take my pick'em up truck to be inpsected in Newton. Matter of fact, I lived on Newton Road, Plaistow, for 7 to 8 years. But I'm originally from that big city to the south. Yup. Haverhill.

that's pretty sick. i use to take the haverhill commuter rail into boston every morning for work. or if i missed it it would be a race to the bradford station that i would never win. Yeah, i lived on Kenwood Drive, it was right off of Smith Corner and Peasley Crossing.

Pretty cool music. I'm a big prog fan, so it's fun for me to see some good prog stuff. Too bad you're so far away - I'd definitely go to a show or two.
