Yeah, New York is also super extra expensive in the fall too. What's up with that!? You can't get a hotel room for under $350 it seems. We're actually going to be there on November 17, but just for the day and we're pretty well booked out. I may be there on October 21 and possibly free for lunch somewhere near the The Met (I know--bit of a hike for you). Let me know if you're free and/or interested.
