Dear Lunkhead,
I did not realize that you were an actor too. "Pushing Daisies" looks like it's going to be a killer show, and I look forward to see you in the leading role.
UPDATE: I loved the first episode, and it is now my favorite show outside of House M.D.
ROCK!

Erin and I were actually also watching the show when I got your voicemail1 (I'm not sure why my phone didn't actually ring when you called, it just alerted me to the voicemail.) There's some resemblance, for sure, which I'll take as flattering. Erin wasn't into the show so we stopped watching 15-20 minutes in, but I liked what I saw of it. I'll probably watch it online at some point.

Just saw it tonight and came here to make a thread. Not sure if it's the first one repeated, but it's the one about the girl he first kissed that he brought back to life. I really like this show. The dialog is great! He says things that I like to do with my lyrics in songs. Like, "I am unselfishly selfish", etc.
It's officially programed on my dvr.

I'm happy to hear this. I'm about sick of law, forensic, cop shows. Although I still love Criminal Minds and NCIS.

Season 2 premiered last night. Fun stuff, but not as amazing as most of Season 1. It's like they intentionally made the follow-up to last season's finale anti-climactic. I mean, sure, Olive moves out, but other than that, this was just a standard episode whose final ninety seconds hinted at great stuff to come.
Of course, no show wants to jump the shark too quickly, but neither can sustained tension hold out forever. Something's going to have to give, and the writers will have to handle it delicately, with a shrewd tenacity to character, if this show is going to stay good. It's been extraordinarily promising so far, so I think they can do it. But I won't be able to take another month of Olive being about to boil over with secrets.

Damn, they finally have a show that kicks ass, then pull the rug out from under it.

Toss it on the heap with other shows I enjoyed that were cut down in their primes after two season, like Rome and Carnivale. Somehow Heroes goes on in spite of turning to complete bollocks, though.

I liked Carnival too. Almost got into Heroes, but just didn't keep me interested enough to go out of my way to watch it.

My daughter loved this show. It reminded me of Twin Peaks. Something initially kinda interesting, but ultimately boring. I had predicted an early demise.
I liked Carnivale. It got a little convoluted. Maybe another season would've cleared things up. Or maybe it just would've gotten worse. I tried to get into John From Cincinnati, too. But that was another show that had something going on that they just dragged out for too long.
I loved Rome, though. I could've watched that for another ten years. And I never miss Flight of the Conchords.

When Jericho was cancelled, fans sent tons of peanuts to CBS studios as a form of protest. In response, CBS ordered a second season. Is there any analogous protest going on for Pushing Daisies? If not, how do we start one?

Anyone else a little disappointed by the last couple of episodes. I'm not sure what will happen in the final episode, but while I'm sorry to see this show end, I'm glad it didn't trudge on with weak story lines.
