The Spider capo allows for, among other neat tricks ... playing behind the capo! Here's a video of a guy playing with two of the things on his acoustic, at the 3rd and 7th frets, and he's fretting behind and in between them and also turning the capo-ing on and off for certain strings on the fly while he's playing. Whoa!

In anticipation of this year's refund, I'm eyeing this http://www.cascademicrophones.com/casca ... mlein.html like a hungry, hungry animal. Ideally to track the band with the Blumlein configuration (or a middle-side one). Just one satisfactory take and done, to speed up our DIY "studio" work (instead of single tracking and obsessively tweaking of each instrument on each song... ugh). And also to have some good mikes at hand.

I'm drooling over these lately... tempted to buy one, so beautiful, but very expensive...

Ooo. I like both of those items, gents. However, I am selling off two (!) guitars a week on 'the Bay' in gear de-acquisition mode. Those guitas are most like;y very tasty though, Lunk!

Damn, Sam, they's pretty! My next axe is a duplicate of the Blueshawk via c'list most likely, so's the backup guitar onstage will be the same (we're rowdy, and I tend to break heavy strings, heh).

But wow, those Gibsons... tasty.

Got any links to your guitars on Ebay Paco? I know you've got some good ones, I'd be curious to see what you're selling.

Here are the two that I just listed this morning:

I'll hate to see them go, but man, too much stuff. I already sold the guitar that Glen likes when he's here. He'll have to suck it up next time and play something he's not used to. Ha! I'll force him to play my Strat. I think you know how that'd go...

I've always thought that upside down setup was pretty cool. Looks odd, but makes sense for a lead guitar player that loves the high licks. My bud had a metal flake red one I used to play and those things were built to rock hard! They make a strat feel like a toy.

Paco, do you still have that Les Paul with all the goofy shit on it? It had it's eye on me and vise versa. :)

I just ordered one of these, for much less than the MSRP:

The whole reface line looks pretty neat. I hope it's as good as it seems from the videos. Is nobody buying any gear anymore these days or had this thread been lost in the mists of time...?

That's a nice little rig there, Lunk. I had a cheap Yamaha keyboard in my 4-track years, loved the reed voice. That should be a lot of fun. I still buy stuff, but try not to. I upgraded my drum kit a month or two ago, although my playing remains the same. Went though a stompbox 'thing' last year. I am a hardware guy for the most part. Enjoy the keys, they certainly don't appear to be overkill.

I'm going to Florida at the end of the month but the local store I like to hang about had a trade in of a 1982 Yairi DY 46 that I fell in love with. Plays like butter. Sounds gorgeous. The only drawback is you can't really beat on it. You have to play controlled which is not one of my strong suits. But man she's a beaut. Assuming we don't have any unforeseen repairs etc., on the trip (we're driving all the way from Missouri) then I'll have her the first week of July.
I released my first album on January 26th, 2018.

Following up, this Reface sounds fantastic and I love it, I've used it on a bunch of recordings.
