Figured somebody should make this thread. I know, weekends are slow.

I'm again working a shift at a job that I quit about two full months ago. (and I'll be working a shift next week too) They have hired two new people so not be working every Sunday here and I'll just be on retainer for when they really need someone.

Events I have heard on the scanners today: (working easy desk lately, southern counties where there is less traffic)

Structure fire at Popeye's Chicken. (Lee County) (This made me hungry for Popeye's)
Motorcycle accident in which biker is pinned under bike. (Charlotte County)
"16 year old is conscience and breathing, her water just broke" (Lee County)

Qotd: (which nobody will see anyways) <strike> Favorite position? </strike> Who enjoys a hot bath...maybe with a stiff drink, good music and perhaps incense? Anybody? ...er... me either... no way...thats so gay. (and I didn't even say anything about bubbles)

Me, I just did some grocery shopping, relaxing, trying to psyche myself up to get working on 'Night Terrors'. Beer is good on Sundays, and pretty much any day ending with 'y'

qotd: <strike>Doggystyle, all the way.</strike> I love a good bubble bath once in a while. I put on the ipod (being careful to not drop it in the tub), grab a couple cold ones, and veg out for an hour. I hate the prune skin on my hands and feet, though.

I haven't lived in a place with a bathtub since high school. It's always the shower stalls.

My stomach and head feel like monsters trying to eat me in a long hallway.

I love a hot bath! As a matter of fact, I think I'll draw one right now, 'cause I'm still sore from the stupid gym on stupid WEDNESDAY. God, I feel so damn old. I'm taking the same workout class tomorrow -- and I'm half-worried that I'm going to be crated out of there on a stretcher. At least I'll already be at the hospital.

<i>YOU</i> feel old? Gawd I'm feeling every bit my age these days but I'm a 25 year old mentally...which only makes me feel older 'the next day' whenever I do go out. (like last night the band I'm in played a gig and hung out 'till 3:30am)

I'm thinking about the bathtub after work myself. Its like salvaging the last morsel of my weekend. Some Absolute, some clove incense, and some Pink Floyd... a little slice of heaven. Fried gold if you will.

also... Crated? Boxing Helena? (I keed I keed... you surely meant carting)

I like hot baths, but not with any accessories. Just 15-20 minutes for my aching, stupid, hunched-over-a-keyboard wrecked back.

Today I submitted Night Terrors. I swear it's not bad, in spite of the fact that it's rather early.

A lot of people on here seem to hate "nerd-core". Is that just in reference to music which is nerdy and also hip-hop-happenin'? My song is definitely nerdy, but also definitely not rappity. I wonder if I'm next in line for crucifixion? Hmm...

The bath is an appreciated but very much rare event. It's simply a tease if limited to under 10 minutes, and I just don't get many opportunities to linger.

I've been looking for small-scale lefty electric guitars for my 6 year old and the Redmons got me inspired again. Any suggestions?

Baths don't happen too often - I'm not willing to put in the effort to fill up the tub - showers are easier, but less rewarding in terms of comfort.

QOTD: I do like a hot tubby. But I really enjoy sitting in the Jacuzzi in my backyard with the tunes on, an ice chest full of Corona, and some good smoke. The only thing that makes it better is to have someone in there with me. :P

....Hot Tubbies are solo only, because the boys like to frolic.

OH... just for football fans:

The Patriots remain undefeated (The Colts are too but they play tomorrow night)

The Dolphins & The Rams remain .... defeated.

You know what makes you sound old? Saying you're going to "draw a bath." Not that there's any better expression; that's probably the most precise and proper way to say you're going to prepare the tub for bathing. It just sounds antiquated to my ears...or eyes? Stupid internet.

Around here, if you run a bath, 12 burly men in suits come and beat you senseless with iron pipes while howling their battle cry "WATER RESTRICTIONS!!!".

I am indeed precise, proper, and antiquated. "Drawing a bath" is among the LEAST frou frou / Victorian of my oddball expressions.

The bath helped some. I drank tawny port (also for old people) and read Peter Bagge's "Sweatshop #2." ("What's worse than selling out? Selling out and failing!")

Now I'm gonna go make pizza.

Baths are gross because you're just sitting in your own filth. How does that make you clean?

Yeah, I only meant that in the most complimentary way possible. Precise, proper, antiquated + frou frou / Victorian = awesome. In the most imprecise, hippie-ass sense of the word. Not like I'm actually in awe. I just mean that you seem neat. Which is itself horribly imprecise. Hahaha. Reminds me of the beginning part of this thing I came across a while ago. Oh, Robert Fripp! I only hope you're not as bad as he is. But I'm afraid I may have originally underestimated you. Tawny port and all...oh my. Although the whole making pizza bit makes you seem a little easier for me to relate to. The question then is: What all are you putting on this pizza?

This is a myth. A long soak in the tub exfoliates dead skin, etc.
That said, I usually have a quick rinse under the shower after a bath.

Today I was creative:
  • I wrote and recorded Night Terrors (I got inspired <b>in the shower</b>)
  • I drew a bunch more comics (and now I have a full week of buffer again and a bit of script though I'm probably going to rewrite it)
  • I made dinner
qotd: I have taken exactly one bath in the last 20 years. It was a few months ago when I was extremely stressed. In the end, it wasn't worth the hassle. I relax by drinking wine and watching movies or TV. Incense is nice too, though I have to be particular about the kind since I'm allergic to a lot of things that are commonly used in incense (notably lavender and juniper). I mostly stick to sandalwood.

Speaking of taking a bath, I'm remolding my guest bathroom right now. We totally stripped everything out down to the concrete.
Awesome tile going in
Cool Ralph Lauren faux painting (antique metal finish) don't ask, lol.
pedestal sink
I'll create some kind of art, not sure yet. It has to be almost done before I get inspired. Probably some sort of mosaic tile, but with mirror pieces. (thinking out loud)
Cool rain type shower heads that goose necks up real high
I wanted to put in a separate urinal, but that sweet idea got shot down...........by guess WHO? ....along with a recessed TV and mini fridge/bar.
Some people have no vision.

Today was cool - there was a big screen showing of an indy film I did the music for. That was fun

The fires and wind out here in California were disconcerting today.

I'm too tall to feel comfortable in a standard-sized bathtub. looking forward to getting a bigger one.

Today I killed some roaches in my tiny bathroom. I think they were trying to put in a recessed TV and a mini fridge/bar...

Your bathroom sounds cool.

I was amazed by this statement. Doesn't the plumbing do most of the work? Or are you hand pumping it? Carrying buckets? Seems like you have to turn the handle either way...
