I am not answering your post in hopes that I will get a free review ($29.99 value), but to tell you that you might be able to get more of a response if you didn't use a hotmail account.

"Since working with IMG our album has not only received airplay in Canada, the USA and Europe but we've also had some positive interest from record labels in the USA and Germany." - Amanda N. Toronto, Canada

Who is Amanda M.?? I see Maroon Five and someother band I recognize on their list... uh..Third Eye Blind I think? Three Days Grace? whatever... If buddy was so hot for talent, he could just listen to the tunes and pm those he'd be interested in... 30 bucks for him to critique my music?? Maybe 8 years ago I'd give it a go.... nah. This may be well intentioned, but it just feels like dirty business to me... later, he'll ask ya to blow him under the table for promo photos... dirty.

Well it was predicatble that you would flame me for some constructive criticism of your site. A few answers to some of your responses:

First off, I'm not a "dude", nor am I a talented musician in that I don't play any instruments. But I am a talented talent agent. I primarily represent artists who have just released their first product into the marketplace. I am liscensed in the state of California and have a great track record in getting new bands into lucrative moneymaking venues. Thus that IS why I care. And that is why I feel qualified to give you my honest opinions of your music, and to tell you..if you suck..you indeed do suck. My friend was telling me that there are many people in here that could make it...and indeed I do think there are a small handful. Dylan Nau is first on my list. I've only heard one track from Carol Cleveland Sings which is in here, and I will be watching that group for future submissions.

But most of you really bug me in that you have the nerve to criticize other people's music when your own is quite frankly nothing at all to be proud of to have posted. In that catagory Octathorpe and Kapitano reign supreme....Jon Eric and Leaf 62, I have no idea what you have submitted in here but you are obviously frustrated at your lack of success. You should show some respect to the other people that post in here as they are all in the same boat as you. In fact, if you actually did become successful you would never give this place the time of day. The only reason that I am here in fact is due to my job desciption.

wow that was a fun trip down memory lane :)

Well, thanks for trying, Sober: It just wouldn't be a New Player thread without being Nevada'd at least once.

I just realized that the scenic Nevada emoticon must be tough to explain to the post-dumbrella crowd.

Is this explained anywhere? I'm not post-dumbrella, but might as well be.

In line with the thread topic, I've just started using the Sonique2 beta release and am enjoying it. They were my favorite player during the Napster years, but some technical difficulties made me switch to less progressive programs. But they're back, baby!

I'm not reknowned for nostalgic tendencies, so, no, it's not that.
