This movie follows a Steinway piano being built from raw lumber through a finished concert grand. It's a pretty fascinating portrait of the characters who work at Steinway in NYC, where each piano is completely hand crafted. Also shows how artists go through the process of selecting concert instruments for use at Carnegie hall.

There's very little violence, almost no nudity but there are a couple intense actions scenes (like when Pierre-Laurent Aimard finds his recital instrument) and some of the girls are cute (especially Harry Connick Jr.)

That looks awesome. Too bad it's not coming to a theater near me.

DVD is $25. Great for "re-gifting" after watching it.
