If you really want to buy two Digitech pedals for some reason, and are unsure what 3rd pedal to get, get the Bass Synth Wah XBW. Killer guitar/bass pedal. The only Digitech pedal I'll ever use, and it is awesome.

I had a Digitech pedal 10-15 years ago, when I first started playing guitar, and it was a cheap piece of junk. I just got a used "Bad Monkey" recently, though, which I had read was very good for how cheap it was. I was pleasantly surprised that the current pedals have the "built like a tank" kind of feel of a Boss pedal, and I like the sound of it. Anyway, not everybody on here is a major gear snob like Sober/etc., and lots of folks here are on budgets, so I figured this might be of interest to some people.

Are the Digitech "Grunge" and "Death Metal" the same as the old DOD pedals of the same names?
