So....just an idea.....what if anyone who wanted to collaborated on one tune just to see if it could be done......what would the logistics be, any ideas? Kind of got the idea from the whole Cheer up Shelley...Frankenstein angle......pieces forming the whole

You would probably end up with an ugly, ugly song like this one:

http://www.songfight.org/music/variatio ... iation.mp3

I think that everyone who wanted to do something for that got to do something for it.

it wouldn't have to be ugly

i wasnt' aware of that song.....but it does have some cool elements in it.....i i think that the regular community here at the fight know each others strong points.....which we could all form a consensus on and delegate responsibilities accordingly....

The best thing about that song is how almost everyone encoded their parts at shitty mp3 quality, so when it was al mixed together it became a big ol' pile of accumulated artifacting.

Make sure to do the entire thing in the span of one fight. One time Jim of Seattle ran a pretty large collaboration that wound up being disqualified. He thought that since the lyrics and much of the recording and mixing were done during the fight it would qualify, trying to interpret the rules a bit too loosely. Because the chord progression and some recording were done before the fight, though, so that disqualified it. The song just went up on the sidebar in a news item instead. It was an interesting experiment, though.

What about Eddiebangs's Chop Shop? He's done a great job on those. As long as one person gets control over what goes where, Chop Shop is evidence that it can be done well.

Every once in a while we get a bunch of us to collab together in one big mess. We sample old songfight songs, and many of us attempt to rap.

We like to call this group "The Frontalittle Squad"

:)

ROCK!

Yeah, that's cool. If my post had a tone of voice it wouldn't have been 'snotty snooty dude', it would have come off more as 'dude attempting to be funny, and just waiting for the comments of "WHERE HAS FRONTALITTLE BEEN, ANYWAY??!!?!" '

;)

ROCK!

I think Frontalittle is fantastic. And what about W-2 and the Temps?
