Is there really not a thread about this show yet? We've been watching this on DVD recently and it's cracking us up. It reminds me of the Christopher Guest movies crossed with, as Ken pointed out, The Monkees.

I love their stand up, but I had no idea that they have a TV show. If its on HBO, that is why I didn't know. My black box finally quit working after many years of wonderful free service. Now I cant bring myself to pay, lol. As it is, I pay Cox Cable around $100 a month just for internet and basic cable. Damn, I miss HBO!
Anyone here have a black box connection, PM me. :P

I've been watching this show. So funny!
Tonight was the episode about the threesome. I about pissed myself multiple times.
I love how he tries to escape out the bathroom window, but the window leads back to the living room where she's sitting, waiting for him to get out of the bathroom. Classic!!!

Heh! You think they are funny - try living in NZ. They are just typical kiwis!

But you are right. That is a bloody funny show. We only started getting it in Australia a few weeks ago - just before we left. It made us feel better about shifting across the ditch. It probably hasn't even been on telly in NZ yet.

My wife was in Wellington yesterday and she found a record shop that had the FotC CD and DVD (you can't get them in New Plymouth) - she bought both. We are staying in a holiday house at the moment with a TV - but no DVD player - and our own stuff is still about 3 weeks away - on a ship sailing across the Tasman. I have complained on another thread about how bad NZ TV is - so I went out today and bought a Chinese DVD player from the supermarket for $50! So it will now be non-stop Conchords for us until our boat comes in.

I have been describing it to people as what Seinfeld would be like if George and Kramer were singing New Zealanders.

Haven't watched any of the show, but I've been enjoying Figwit and Co.'s live stuff recently

Have you heard their Frodo bit? If not, I'm sure it's on youtube, etc. Funny.

edit: Ha, first try on a search. Frodo's Song

Yeah, that's the one I was thinking of too. But I found the other one when I searched it and thought it had some funny bits in it.

Just got tix to see the Flight of the Conchords tour at Red Rocks this summer. They're billed with Iron & Wine (one of my top favorites) and a stand-up comedian. Seemed like an odd match to me to have Iron & Wine sandwiched between comedy, but I'll take it!
