The Song Fight Bulletin Board

Back in the early/mid 90s, when Rock City was my second home and my friends never saw me sober, there was one particular track that was guaranteed to make me stop whatever I was doing, head straight for the dancefloor and flail around like an absolute psycho. As much as I loved this song, though, I never actually knew who it was by. I didn't even know with certainty what it was called (although the chorus strongly suggested a title).

I was reminded of this earlier, and decided to see if I could use the power of google to scare up the artist/song name, and even ideally an mp3 of it. It turns out I could. Thank you google.

I loved it then, and I love it just as much now. And I know now that it is Shadow Dance by Eyes Of The Nightmare Jungle. Play it loud.

Funny, I have that album on CD (bought in used budget bin for 1 or 2 dollars).
The cover informs me that Wayne Hussey plays on a track, tho not that one. I know you recognize that name.
I grabbed the CD again to give it another listen tomorrow.

So what's the rest of the album like, any good? Worth my while hunting it down?

I'm not much of a Hussey fan, truth be told. Although he's not a bad guitarist I guess, but god he should have been forcibly restrained from writing lyrics

I gave it a listen today, it's pretty good. Not great. A lot of it, I feel, is close to greatness but is held back for some reason or another. Probably the best other track is a cover of Faith Healer by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band (you probably know this, it was also covered by a bunch of other people) and this track called Puppets. I wouldn't expend a lot of energy on it, though.

Thanks, I'll bear that in mind - I won't go to the effort of trying to track it down, but if I stumble across a copy (or someone posts mp3s online somewhere) I'll grab it. Don't think I know Faith Healer, or at least not by name, might be one of those 'you know it when you hear it' songs, tho'.
