Some NV stats.

The Republican race is a toss-up. The Democratic race seems to favor Clinton, but with 18% undecided, and with Richardson/maybe Edwards potentially dropping out, it could very easily swing over to Obama.

This will highly depend on how Hillary's crushing defeat in Iowa, and her narrow victory in all-white NH gets played out in the media. For the gambling lobby/etc., Obama should be the clear choice (other than Ron Paul), but we'll see how NV goes.

MI doesn't matter for Democrats, because the DNC stripped them of their caucus votes (lol). I am slightly interested in how that race goes. Then on to South Carolina, where Obama has a strong lead at the moment.

... or those votes could go to Clinton. I'm not challenging you as much as I am acknowledging how close this race will be.

If I had to go from Edwards' concession speech last night, I'd say he has no intention to dropping out before Nevada. I wish he would, though, and support another candidate. If he pulled out and supported Obama (because I think he would), and if a significant portion of the Edwards supporters then decided to vote for Obama, this primary would be over.

One of the MSNBC pundits last night, shortly after Clinton was declared the winner, said something to the effect of "We'll we're going to have to go back and look at those numbers again..." Another pundit interrupted him with "No, we're going to have to wait for the people to hit those voting booths and see what they have to say."

It was the smartest thing I heard all night.

Is anyone here actually from Nevada?

Did anyone else notice that all of the candidates (that I heard, anyway) seemed to pronounce it "pundant"? Is there some sort of candidates' inside joke?

Lived in Las Vegas when I was in high school. Which is, of course, a kind of pointless time to live in Las Vegas, although it does at least explain why I like the original "Oceans 11" so much more than any of the new ones...
