This is driving me nuts! I am trying to record on Garage band with a MBox. I don't get a signal at all from the software, but I am getting a signal from the MBox so I know the mikes are working (they should they're brand new). I have checked for it in preferences. Anyone know if I need drivers now and where I might obtain these. Arrrrrr. Thank you!!

With my "firebox" came a "mixer". I use Cubase for mixing, but I have to open the Firebox mixer for it to send a signal to my Cubase program.
Not sure if this will help you, but it took me a while to figure that out.

Also, find an Mbox forum. I have learned a lot talking about my exact equipment with others on manufacturers forums.

if you have protools installed then you just need to go to the system preferences and click on the sound icon. From there choose the mbox as your input and output devices.

If you don't have protools installed then I think you can go to the digidesign.com site and download a driver. I didn't know about this possibility until I googled "mbox garageband driver". I've never tryed it w/o protools installed.
