Email from the forum is very slow to arrive

It seems that it's taking sometimes upwards of a day for an email to get to me from the forum. The really weird thing is that my email is also hosted by Dreamhost, so it's obviously not a network traffic problem but something with the server. Hooray. Someone should probably contact Dreamhost and find out what's what [in the butt].

Dreamhost says:
Due to an intermittent problem with the mail server that processes outgoing messages from the web servers some messages may be significantly delayed in their delivery. We are doing what we can to resolve this situation and try to prevent it from happening again in the future. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Subscribe to their "status" RSS feed. It says "resolved" but they're not always right when they say that.

I subscribe to the status feed for the server cluster I'm hosted on but if I were to get status messages for everyone on Dreamhost that'd drive me very crazy very quickly.

Ah, it's affecting me as well (as I just found out from delayed forum emails on my site), and I'm just way behind on my RSS reading. Go figure.

yeah, i think i accidentally added the "all clusters" as well as "my cluster" so i get everything and just don't read too carefully. however, when you asked i had just read that entry and it was conveniently still on my bloglines browser window.

Well, it's down to "only" 8.5 hours now, so.

11 minutes now. Okay, I guess this problem's over.
