Absolutely perfect to chill out to when stoned. Like now :) Shame I've got work in a few hours...

My, wasn't this a pleasant surprise. I've only listened to Ghosts I, which I mostly liked, if you ignore that terrible marimba song. Maybe a little too heavy on slow piano + ambient droning songs, but what a beautiful piano sound. I will be checking out the other 3 discs. 85% chance of purchasing one of the expensive versions.

I got the digital, pretty good stuff... good to just relax to, like at work in the background... pre-ordered the vinyl version of this as well... love my records ;)

I meant to reply to this before... Obs, you should have said what this was, and I would have jumped at it... I only found out a week or two later that this is the new "Nine Inch Nails" that Adrian Belew collaborated on. I do need to buy this; the free samples are great. Very different.

You mean everyone doesn't always just follow my recommendations without question? Damnit man, you're shattering my worldview here. I may never recover.

I bought the10$ version shortly after it came out. It's not my favorite Nine Inch Nails release, but it's quite fine. It makes me very happy to see this kind of willingness to experiment (both musically and commercially) still highly present in Reznor's career. I've often felt his considerable talents as a composer and producer aren't given their full due.

Okay obscurity, I decided to buy this on your recommendation. I mean, it's $5.00, so it's not exactly a BIG risk. Anyway, I've only listened to five or six tracks and it's pretty nice! Adrian Belew is a good match for Reznor. I especially appreciate that the tracks are "song length" (around 3 minutes each). Thanks for the recommendation--I'm sure I would have overlooked this.

Pretty awesome arrangements. When I first heard these cuts, all I could think is that Reznor will be the new Elfman in the movie score world. Good as always.

I second this. Thanks obscuity, there’s some rely great production value in this album.
Cant wait to burn it to CD, and hear it in the home theater system.. it should sound amazing.
Now, any recommendations to where I can get some acid online? I want to trip my balls off.

Nope, just a guy trying to help you see the light, man.
There are three side effects of acid: enhanced long-term memory, decreased short-term memory, and I forget the third. :P

Thanks, frankie and drë, for helping to prop up my failing worldview :) Glad you like it :)

drë, if I knew where to get acid online, I wouldn't be in any state to post this.

I bought the whole thing the other day too. But oops I forgot to bring the mp3s home from work. Have to wait to listen to the rest till Monday. Some really great moments in there, I got halfway through the tracks I hadn't heard on the free part.

You could always torrent 'em. Given that they're released under the cc attribution/share-alike license, you don't even have to pretend to feel bad about it :)

Nope, I don't run torrents. I'm sure I can wait 'til tomorrow... ;)
