Mr B & Mr C, the self-proclaimed 'greatest band that never was', (namely, Johnny Cashpoint & Sausage Boy), have finally completed their first album.

Image

In a exultant mood, we offer the good bergers of Songfight, out of the kindness of our black hearts, the following ...

*14 tracks of screeching, crackly electropunk and joli-laid pop, pakced with good noise and cheap samples, and all done in just under 28 minutes.

*Off-kilter lyrics about the modern condition, including treatises on purchase power, serial killers, internet porn, DIY terrorism, other serial killers, unfaithfulness, illegal dowloading - so the usual, then ...

*a dinky mini-site thang designed by Mr B, with really rather awesome downloadable PDF art and the opportunity to listen to individual songs

* this stream

Hope those who listen to it enjoy it!

I haven’t heard a single track yet, but damn does that cover art makes me horney.
You guys know who did the blue coat conductor girl illustration? It’s erotic.

edit after listening:
track 5 is 404.
My fav is still waiting, where Mr. B vox, blends in very well with the music. The entire album has a good flow.

Very cool guys! I've only listened to a couple, but I'll be giving this a full listen, and after what I've heard thus far, I WILL have questions. :P

I listened to it all, and it's excellent. Mr. B gets put on a leash, but a long one allowing him to remain quite menacing. I like each of your respective musicings anyway, but this is a good team up. If the songs were long they might not work as well, but most of them are packed just right. Good art, too. Rawr!

Ah yes, ok that should be fixed now. A typo in the stream.

Weird and good. I listened to it while working, and I expected some sort of snarky comment from my officemate, but I think he was stunned, or something.

Good job, I enjoyed it... Reminded me of an old friend... Some songs are better than others, but on the whole it's fun... all songs seem to flow together well... I'll keep it on my Zune. ;)

"cheating," "single," and "with you" are all good. SB's strange cadences make a lot of the tunes a little more difficult than they need to be. it's like he sings the same cadence on every tune, no matter what's going on with the music.

you should post "the single" up for remixing.
