Erm, it's probably here somewhere but I can't find the 'gush over a songfighter' thread, so I'll start one, and if someone has already started it, I'll delete...

Been listening back and really digging King Arthur's stuff recently. So many cracking songs! How hilarious is his 'Lavender Splendor'? Answer=very.

c. layne is still tops to me still...
but while i'm thinking a previous fighter
that no longer does any songfights
Brother Machine also really digged IUXHouse Rock (sp)
i'd have to go check the archive to remember how it was spelt
but i liked a lot of the stuff... wished it had better production
but i can't say nothing... haha... \m/ :-)

I burned me a King Arthur CD recently and played in the car for a friend that I was carpooling with. He enjoyed it. Had his head bobbing to "Back From Brazil" (which I think is one of KA's best, along with "Toronto Star," "Troublemaker," and "So Aggravating"). That made me happy.

Oh, and that MC Frontalot is a pretty good songfighter, I think.

Hey I have a question for you guys. What is your favorite fight of all time and why?

My Choice: Brown Boxes
Why: Future Boy, Carol Cleveland Sings, the 'over, Puce, Josh Woodward, Ethan Rand, TB, Lunkhead

OK, your turn.

Mission Accomplished, I think. Right size. A good spread of styles, everything interesting.

My all-time favorite fight is probably Romantic Cheapskate. It was the first week I fought (I was in the other one, 'Moscow, Idaho'). I was just stunned at the diversity and quality of the pieces in that fight, and none has affected me as strongly since.
Highlights: Abominominous, Henrietta & The Hostage, Smoking Grapefruits, MC Frontalot, Josh Woodward, and my vote-getter - The Sober Irishman.

Brown Boxes. I've got eight entries still playlisted from that one.

I just listened to Puce's cover of Lunkhead's "Violet Wants It That Way" and mostly liked it lots, now I'm listening to the original and it's pretty awesome. A little overlong though.

Shreds, yes. WWNMOIS, yes.

Stand in the Circle is probably my favorite fight.

Cosmic Confirmation is also great.

Can't forget Space Cadet. Fucking Space Cadet.

Talk About Your Feelings, So Kind Stacy, and Romantic Cheapskate.

Keep in mind that the number of fights I've listened to are likely smaller then others.
