Wow. This site is pretty much the best idea anyone has ever had. Wish I'd found it sooner.
Anyway, I have been recording ridiculous music under the pseudonym Styop Quoons on and off since my junior year of high school, and I figure that this site will be a fantastic way to have it heard by people who are not me.
One thing that I would like to clarify is that I am not in any way a professional musician. I'm currently taking guitar lessons at pretty much a beginner level, and I played the clarinet in high school; aside from that I've had no formal training. However, I like to think that I am picking things up as I go along. In any event, I am mostly just doing this for my own amusement, and if other people like my songs, then hey, wonderful.
Also, I have my own record label. Actually, it is not a record label so much as it is a personal website where I post my own songs, and those of my friends. However, I call it a record label, and that is the important part. I am temporarily hosting it on my school's server, and they give you shit for space, so there isn't a whole lot up there right now. Plus it's a little poorly organized. However, as soon as I find a more appropriate home for it, I will put more up there. If anyone is so inclined, the address is:

Anyway, I have entered a song in this week's fight, and assuming I am not completely decimated by negative criticism, I plan to enter again. Hope to see you all around.
