I saw this last night with some friends. Holy crap is this movie wonderful. Pixar's best BY FAR.

Saw it with family, and then again with friends. Yeah, damn good. And damn gorgeous, too.

The Wall Street Journal review makes it sound like the second coming. My kids loved it. I look forward to watching it on DVD one day in the future.

It looks good. I want to see it. Bug's Life used to be my favorite Pixar movie... this looks like it could take the spot. Plus he looks like a mini Johnny-5!

I've avoided all the reviews, but friends who were blogging about it said that it wasn't just a triumph of animation, but a triumph of FILM. I have to agree with them.

Wowee. This movie was sooo good. Dang. Amazing. I think I actually want to see it again in the theater even...

And the short at the start is better than most movies I saw last year. Pixar really outdoes itself every time.

Don't miss seeing this in the theater. Just take all the glowing reviews with a large grain of salt.

Yeah, definitely see it on the big screen. This one is certainly going in the Blu-Ray collection for me.

Really? It was pretty good (made me want to go play Portal), but it's tough to beat Geri's Game and One Man Band in my book.

Andy, Shannon and I had a great time at a Wednesday matinee. I'm looking forward to getting the DVD, because I feel like I missed a lot of subtle stuff.

It was a good movie, and definitely worth seeing again. But the best Pixar film? I dunno. For me, The Incredibles holds that spot. We'll see how this one holds up over time.

The Incredibles had a sort of a mixed message. On the one hand, I loved the message about how people should embrace their own natural talents, but on the other hand I disliked the message about how it's evil to try to put everyone on a level playing field via technology. Then the conclusion, how people were happy to spend a lot of time and effort to pretend they didn't have the natural talents to make everyone else feel better, really rubbed me the wrong way.

Yeah, that makes sense. No argument here.

Has the Wall-E video game come out yet? My boys have enjoyed the Incredibles and Robots games. But I'd like to see a review of this one before I get it. 'Cause if it's just more jumping puzzles, I might give it a miss.

Just saw it tonight. Fucking loved it! Me and my boys have a special fondness for robots with emotions. Same with Ironman and many others. But WallE and Eve were so damn cute together. Eve with her half moon eye bulbs and WallE with his #5 reflective lenses, how can you not tear up? Cute ass movie! Hats off to Pixar!

wall-e: movie of the year.

dark knight was great and all, but it went on and on and it was way confusing and the bullshit about cell phones was bullshit. wall-e made me cry the second time i saw it (which was in the theater... i'm getting the 3-disc dvd tomorrow from amazon).

2/3 of Dark Knight was decent but Chris Nolan just doesn't know how to end a film. He's always got to cram as much stuff in as possible, and his pacing and "let's-tug-at-the-viewer's-heartstrings" and "any time there's an opportunity for a shock let's take it" tendencies get really freaking old.

Wall-E is excellent and I can't wait for my Blu-Ray to arrive.

I have to second the notion that The Incredibles is the best Pixar film. I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I think The Incredibles is funnier and more exciting than Wall-E. Wall-E is very good, and well worth seeing. You can't argue with the health/environmental messages. But hey, I also loved Speed Racer, which TANKED, so that might tell you something.

I liked the Incredibles too, but you can't compare the two. Completely different themes. It would be like comparing Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Ok, I suck at analogies, but you get the idea.

Finally finished watching this. Huh. All message, no meat. It's like The Black Hole and Gremlins were thrown into a blender and distilled to their core essences on the page while the writer(s) were playing Fallout 3 instead of working. This is the first dystopia flick I've seen that I didn't like.

Really? I felt that there was plenty of meat, and I didn't feel clubbed over the head with the messages, since the setting was so ludicrously unrealistic that I saw it along the same lines as a world with dragons and leprechauns or whatever.
