Yeah, that is a good idea... get Harmonix on the phone!

I was thinking something more grassroots, kind of like when people bombard TV stations to get their favorite shows to stay on the air.

So we plan a roadtrip to Bean Town with Song Fight! T-shirts and signs and walk back and forth in front of Harmonix's <-(?) offices! :)

Cock, I don't know if you realize what an opportunity this is for our community! This has been a dream of mine and all of ours for a long time! Sometimes, I doubt your commitment to Songfight!

I can't tell if that is a joke or not... I wasn't joking about picketing outside Harmonix... I would do that with you guys.

It was a joke. A Donnie Darko reference.

The actual quote is: "Rose, I don't know if you realize what an opportunity this is for our daughters! This has been a dream of Samantha's and all of ours for a long time! I made her lead dancer! Sometimes, I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion!"

Aha! And to think... I just re-watched that a few weeks ago... man...

edit: Also, I couldn't believe his little sister was a polygamist! :)

Rock Band has been making me very happy as of late.

- Beatles Rock band is coming this year.
- "Losing my Religion" on DLC comes Tuesday.
- Pearl Jam "Ten" on DLC comes later this month.

All sorts of good stuff.

I just got Rock Band 2 (I know, I know, I'm the last person on the planet) and man is it fun.

I think, though, they should really branch out.

Where is Folk Band? Comes with a guitar controller; a banjo controller; a set of bongos; and a large library of Kingston Trio hits.

How about Synth Band? Comes with a guitar controller; a keyboard controller; a drum machine controller (with only a start/stop button); a Flock of Seagulls wig; and a Vince Clarke leotard.

How awesome would that be?

I'm loving this game more and more. Next week's additions to the game include James Brown, Against Me, the New Pornographers, the Average White Band, and Earth, Wind and Fire.

We just got this a couple of weeks ago and now we're looking at getting a second controller so we can play guitar and bass at the same time.

Anyone recommend a controller they really like?

This is the Wii version, by the way.

I haven't played the Wii version so I'm not sure if the controllers are that different, However I do prefer my Guitar Hero 3 Wireless Les Paul controller on the 360 over both my Rock Band & Xplorer guitars. Even tho I don't like Guitar Hero as a game anymore since Activision took over.

So on Tuesday, Rock Band's DLC store added the entire Pearl Jam "Ten" album (including the hidden track) and that was pretty good.

Next Tuesday is just plain odd. There will be a songs from GlasVegas ("Geraldine"), Von Bondies ("C'mon C'mon"), Pat Benatar ("Heartbreaker"), Journey ("Don't Stop Believin'"!) and three songs from SpongeBob. ODD.

Did anyone get Last Resort last week?

It doesn't have that "As made famous by" tag on it but that does NOT sound like Papa Roach. WTF?

I mean I still love doing vocals on it, but I gotta turn the actual vocals down so I don't hear them.

No I didn't. I'm on the Rock Band forums and when it came out there was quite an uproar, so I avoided it like the plague. There is all sorts of speculation on why it sounds different from the original but HMX hasn't put out any statement (and probably never will). My 2 cents- HMX use the masters to make DLC, so my guess is that this is what the song sounds like without a lot of the post-production.

I only came to this thread because I saw the news on Kotaku. Yes, I am definitely intrigued. I will definitely be submitting "Night Terrors" when this happens.
