Why is there no thread for this yet?
Just watched the Women's 4 x 200m Relay.
The lovely Australian girls just gave the drug-taking Chinese freaks and Seppo skanks a good boot in their collective arses! Hooray!
....and still no medals for Canada! Or New Zealand!!

I've been watching a ridiculous amount of Olympics coverage. Loving everything except my French relay team choking away the relay gold medal to Phelps and his team.

Yes. Bloody French! The only time we want to see them win anything is when they are beating Americans - but they can't even do that properly. Then that Bernard bastard comes along and beats Sullivan in the 100m Freestyle. Zut alors!

I have been loving the Olympics. I just wish that I didn't have to go online to see so many of the events.

GOLD! GOLD! GOLD! TO NEW ZEALAND!!!!!!!!
I wouldn't normally be so excited - but we (heh!!! "We" ) got a gold in the womens double sculls - now that is funny to start with (assuming that the word "scull" means the same to you as it does to me - which is drinking really quickly (I think Seppos call it "chug a lugging")) - but also the the two chicks that won are identical twins and both quite cute. They are both featured on NZ TV all the time advertising stew. No - I am not kidding. They have TV adds showing how to make stew out of beef OR lamb. Whatever - they get my juices stewing...DON'T YOU WORRY ABOUT THAT!
Did I mention that the Women's Double Sculls are coxless? (Ha ha ha ha I've got a million of them!!)

...and talking about drugs - how much juice is that Phelps character on!?!?!
I mean - check out the head on it!!! Half of that bastards body weight comes from just his chin. I don't care what you say - you don't get that hideousley deformed unless there is some serious chemical work going on

wow. Hating on Phelps. As an Aussie, there are many more Olympians you should be hating on like Wang Xin, Chen Ruolin, Alain Bernard (definitely him), Jason Lezak, Britta Steffen, The Croatian Men's Basketball team...

yeah yeah...give me a chance, I'll get to them.
But that Phelps - you can't tell me that head is normal. He's all chin. It's
unnatural I tell you. I reckon he is on the same gear that Ian "Thorpedo" Thorpe was on. It gets them swimming fast - but they can't hide the localised gargantuism side-effects.
Look at Thorpie's feet:

and Phelpsie's chin:
Now who's crazy huh?!?!
Mark my words - just like Thorpie, Phelpsie will all of a sudden retire from swimming and start mincing about as a fashion model with designer stubble, a soft voice and taking every opportunity he can get to deny being gay. (apparently that is all another side effect of whatever it is they are on. Allegedly.)

French. Enough said.
Though - even though he beat Eamon Sullivan in the 100m, it is understandable that Sullo may not have had his mind on the job. Apparently he has been shagging Stephanie Rice

but:
Swimming power couple Eamon Sullivan and Stephanie Rice have put their relationship on hold in a bid to fulfil their gold medal ambitions at next week's Beijing Olympics.
Sullivan, the fastest swimmer on the planet, confirmed the world record-breaking pair's split was mutual before stating they were ''having a month's break''.
Dude may have had his mind elsewhere.
(BTW - I don't know if Stephanie Rice is on the juice or not, but if she is, they should start adding whatever it is to every cities water supply.)

I can't believe that you left out the fact that he's super double jointed.

In that case - he should only be allowed to compete at the Special Olympics.

The women's beach volleyball team is wearing like almost nothing. Maybe this sport will catch on after all.

Back in the good, old days in ancient Greece - all competitors were nude.
Because I am a purist, I now always like to strip off now before turning the telly on. It means I can still be upstanding during the national anthem, without having to get off the couch.

Sadly, our national anthem doesn't inspire me that way.

If having a huge chin means you are juicing then Jay Leno is Superman.

That was a very exciting match - a few times it looked like they would not pull it together. I like watching volleyball (although I like 6's better), because I also play volleyball and I understand the sport. Unlike diving, which is pretty boring...

Yeah, that was an exciting final. Lightening would have been fun, though.

Yeah. It must have been a bit cold there. Either that, or they forgot to iron the peg-marks out of their tops.
And how weird is it seeing tall, lanky Chinese girls in skimpy bikinis! Chairman Mao would have had a fit (he normally liked to keep that sort of thing all to himself).

Whoahhhhh!!!!
Just looked at the medal tally WTF!!!!
1. China - yep, expected
2. USA - yawn...
3. GREAT BRITAIN!!!?!?!?!?!?!??!
WTF!?!?!?!?!?
How did this happen?!?!
They win the Ashes back in '05 - now they think they are supermen!
GB does not beat AUS (currently 6th). It is UNACCEPTABLE!
I WANT DRUG TESTS!!! AND I WANT THEM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rivalry ramped up between the two countries when IOC boss, Australian John Coates, said Great Britain's medal count wasn't bad for a nation with "few swimming pools and not very much soap".

Not as weird as seeing
short, lanky (45-pound?) Chinese girls wearing skimpy one-piece swimsuits in the diving event, which in turn isn't as weird as the camera following them everywhere after their dive, including creepily long shots of them showering off the chlorine. It's a bit unnerving to watch an entire swimming arena watch huge overhead monitors displaying tiny girls showering.
