Anybody willing to donate music for a yearbook?

I'm in charge of the video yearbook and I'm in search of some music. I, being a filmfighter, decided what better place to search then songfight.net? So if anybody is willing to help out and donate some music, we can work out the conditions later. I don't have the copy of the release yet, but when I do I'll post it on this topic. Or if you could give some good recommendations for some other good composers who might be willing to help out, that'd be great. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

it's good to give us an idea of what kinds of songs you're looking for.

Sorry for being not too specific in my first post and the reason for this was because we're still in the early process of the video yearbook. Since I'm basically in charge, I have a good idea of what I think would be good. Perhaps some of you have some ideas and could contribute on what might be cool to add? I was thinking of mostly instrumental, and a different style of music for each segment. For instance, maybe with basketball have hip-hop and for football and more rock feel. But, if anybody feels their lyrics may have something to do with highschool life or moving on then that would probably work, too. Once again, sorry for being so vague but I'll keep everyone updated on the progress and what we're looking for. But just knowing that we have a good source of musicians who are willing to lend a hand is a lot of weight off of my shoulders. So thanks a lot, guys.

Wow. I just checked out your band site, Poor June. Let me just say to put it bluntly... it's amazing. I listened to Drunk in B Minor and Dear Dora and both were awesome.

I'll know a lot more by the Tuesday on the direction of the piece but I'm really excited to be working with you the some of you who I came into contact with. If anyone else is willing to donate music, please contact me through PMs. I'll be contacting a lot of you when I get a chance to dig through the archives. Thanks once again, folks. <3 @ you all.

Feel free to use my stuff for your project as well, if anything fits. I would just like to see a copy of the finished product.

Feel free to use any of the
Cow Exchange tunes, if you'd like. Not sure if any of them will fit, though at least Waiting Takes Time is sort of school-related. I have instrumental versions of all these.

If you have a section for the persecuted and downtrodden, feel free to use "Ugly Duckling" by The John Benjamin Band as the background music.

Robotic Jenhere < Actual Jenhere
You know, the "I shamelessly advertise and I'm totally self-righteous about it" Jenhere. The new breed just ain't as hilarious.
I've been watching a bit of M.A.S.H. recently, and you know what? I like it. I guess my parents were right: it is better than The Simpsons. Man I wish I had some orange juice right now.

MASH was pretty good - but it jumped the shark a bit after they replaced Frank Burns, Trapper John and Henry.

I have watched a lot of both MASH and the Simpsons, and beg to differ with your parents. And MASH really did jump the shark halfway through its run.

As of right now so did The Simpsons.

I'm not sure when Conan wrote for The Simpsons, but I say it jumped early season 8. Season 7 is full of awesome episodes, whereas most episodes in 8 seem to be treading water. Need further proof? Two words: Space Coyote.

Nah, there are still funny moments in the Simpsons. There are none after Trapper John left MASH. It became (possibly always was) maudlin crap.
MASH isn't that funny. It's good to see primetime American TV that questions political motives for war, but that's not funny.
I mean really - think about what you're saying: which is funnier, the entire run of The Simpsons (to date) or the entire run of MASH? There is no need to answer this question.
Or to put it another way: which self-respecting person wants to be their parents?
