The Song Fight Bulletin Board

A while ago JB had a Google Map thing with peoples locations on it - but that is gone now.

So here is a new one on MAPme.com:

The World Of Songfight! Map

You can log on and add your own locations etc on it.

I've set it up with 3 different category of icon:

1. Songfighter locations (Stars House icon): Stick a pin roughly where you live

2. Live Songfight Events ("horns" icon): Mark where past or upcoming live events are happening

3. Places mentioned in Songfight songs ("i" icon): Are your songs inspired by real places you have been? Show us where they are


It is unmoderated. Go mad.

Spud's House is on there.

roymond's in the casa. But for some reason the map thinks I'm in NJ, and I can't edit location. The depravity of the situation is overwhelming.

My house is added, too. I can't upload any pictures though, as I realized that no one seems to like taking pictures of me. The avatar is pretty damn close, though.

Signboy - you used the wrong symbol for your house.

Roymond - I don't see your house, in New Jersey or anywhere.

I can see Roymond - he appears to be in somewhere called Brooklyn Heights. Isn't that right.

And yes Signboy - hate to be the big icon Nazi - but the "horns" was reserved for live event places. Use the blue "Stars House" avatar for your digs. Everyone else has been very good at following the protocol (well almost everyone...cough Jack Shite.. cough)

Actually - is this site a bit crap? I like the idea but I don't know if there is a better way to do this sort of thing. Also, if anyone knows more about how these things work and might be able to set it up tidier than I have - feel free to PM me and I'll give you the login and password to be the map moderator.

I can't wait until they start making computers powerful enough for this to work well! Then I will go in and add SF Boston if nobody has already done so.

Somesongs and IT Conversations used Frappr for their member maps, but I like this Google based one better, though.

Wow, I drove by there on the way to Whitehorse and 16 days on the Yukon river. That was in '75 though. Not sure you saw me wave in passing.
