Agreed. Good title. I might have to finally install Fruity Loops on my new computer that I've had for uhh a couple months. :D

I like this thread title better than the actual song title. That is, I will name the mp3 correctly for the fight but only "what's your excuse this time?" will be used in the lyrics.

I guess I'll have to fight again. The half-finished song in my head is commanding me to. And though I like the thread title too, it's incompatible with the lyrics I've got so far, so it's all yours!

This might be my last chance for awhile (vacation, potentially moving), so I will push myself to put something out this week.

I like this approach. And the thread title. And the title. None of this will affect my output.

Well, I almost stuck with it when I wrote my lyrics (see ye olde lyrics archive). I couldn't resist sneaking "paper thin" into one of the verses, but at least it's not in the chorus.

My excuse this time is that it rhymed.

:? is it not cool anymore to put the title in the chorus? I was under the impression that it was perfectly acceptable to use the title in the verse only or not at all, but mildly (only mildly)cheap. I've always enjoyed trying to take the non-obvious take, and it always made it more of a challenge to fit the title into the chorus. Maybe I think too much about stupit things.

If I'm in for this one, it'll be a "no real instruments" entry, as I'm in a hotel with only my laptop.

I'm with you, kind of. I agree that if you take the title to obscure topics, putting it in the chorus may be more of a challenge. On the other hand, it's just as interesting to produce a song that, on the surface, looks totally unrelated to the title, but when you look the title, you suddenly discover a completely different way of hearing the song. Or something like that.

Where exactly you decide to put the fight title (if anywhere) shouldn't matter all that much. What matters is that it inspires you to make awesome music that hopefully somehow relates to the fight title.
In my song for this fight, the title is probably going to end up at the very beginning.

It's const void *restrict.

Obviously it's a real; only variables beginning with i,j,k,l,m or n are integers.

ha HA! Trick question! Everyone knows that Song Fight is dynamically typed! It's one thing today, it'll be something else next week.

I need lyrics.

I've been struggling to get back into this, ever since my debilitating illness has stopped acting up and all that, and this is where I always hit a wall.

Can anyone help?

here you go:

I'm a big ball of poo
Roll me out paper thin
Get real close
Take a whiff
And see what shape I'm in
Baby
Yeah

Second verse:

Dry me under a sun lamp
until I'm hard as a rock
Throw me with skill
like a ninja star
But please don't touch my cock
Baby
Yeah

If this gets recorded and submitted, I'm voting for it 50 times.

I feel like writing an epic rock opera about a little boy and his magical piece of paper which he uses to travel across space and time, e.g. folds it up into a paper aeroplane and can fly to the moon, then uses it to give the moon a papercut and find the delicious nougat center and so on.

The question is not whether or not "Ball of Poo (Paper Thin)" will be submitted, but rather how many different versions there will be.
