DRC: Hola songfighters! It's just another day in the Niviverse. I have been able to get some good writing going this morning and I have gotten along very well with my new boss. This is a positive start to my day. Hopefully, it will hold together.

QotD: I was recently reading AP's 100 bands you should know list and I was inspired.

What would a blurb describing you/your band and your music be like?

Good Exercise, Niv. It's been a while since I wrote one of these, and things have changed since the last one. I will give it some thought today and try to have a new marketing blurb by the end of the day. In the meanwhile, this appeared in Spin Magazine some time ago (2002):
Spin wrote:Octothorpe's take on "It Is a Shame My Binoculars Don't Work at Night" sounds like it's performed by Kermit the Frog driven to severe psychological disassociation from years of fronting for a death-metal band.

QOTD: BLT: He tries, but just doesn't have it anymore. He should buy a hotdog cart and sell tube steaks on the corner.

We would have liked 'Putting The FUn BAck iN FuNerAL' but that Pushing Daisies show blew it for us.

The Funeral Dazies: Tampa's premier horror punk band will bite you where it counts. Zombie rotten rockers will take the stage and melt your brain right before they feast on them. So if you're tired of dull bar bands boring you to death then get out of your coffin and see The Funeral Dazies come out of theirs!

Ghost Town Gridlock: The old school meets the new school plunging up a toxic stew that will wake up your soul in a perfect blend. GTG will bring the anger and perversion right up to the tip of your nose while the electricity licks your eyeballs. Show them your tits and they show you their balls in this fantastic tornado of energy Tampa Bay calls Ghost Town Gridlock.

Hoblit: There is no way to predict the next meal coming out of Bread Box Studios as Joblito prepares the next course. Even after your salad you may find more raw roughage on your plate. Hoblit, be it acoustic guitar or blistered finger electric, he will bring dinner to the table.

King Arthur: it's guys like KA that make you aware how amazing it is that Mick Jagger is still rocking...

Wow. We are a self-deprecating bunch, aren't we?

I use this on most websites (even though it is no longer entirely accurate)

Caravan Ray is a loose collective of musicians, poets and performance artists who currently reside within an old, derilict public servant in suburban Brisbane.

He is available for parties.

Heuristics Inc. is really terrible at marketing and writing nice things about himself so he should probably pay somebody else to do that for him.

Only until Rone gets here.

I believe that's my cue! lol

Rone Rivendale is a one man band. He uses a mix of Techno, Trip Hop, Pop Rock, and Emo done with variations of rap and singing. He is like many geniuses in that his art will not be appreciated until after he's dead.

Andrew Reist is a fun/depressing guy who writes a lot of music and gets angry when he records it. He has yet to release an officially official album, but is currently in the studio/room upstairs writing new material.

I like how a bunch of awesome musicians come in and write about how much they suck, then a suckass musician comes in and writes about how awesome he is.

Oh was there a smiley there?

I somehow never see those.

And I never use them.

Maybe that's why there's always all this miscommunication.

Oh well. Rone still sucks. :P

Smileys are for the weak and feeble-minded who can't actually read or communicate using words.

:(

I used to never use smileys, but then I got sick of people continually thinking I was being a dick to them.

QotD: Aardwolves is like roadkill made into a sound.

Well, the thing is, I actually am being a dick, so it all works out.

(Also, to me, adding a ":)" at the end of a sentence is like the equivalent of saying "just kidding." My sister had a friend growing up who would always say stuff like, "Ha ha, you're fat and ugly. JUST KIDDING." So I tend to dislike that sort of thing.)
