October is the tenth month of the year in the Gregorian Calendar and one of seven Gregorian months with a length of 31 days. The eighth month in the old Roman calendar, October retained its name (from the Latin "octo" meaning "eight") when January and February were added.

October is commonly associated with the season of autumn in the Northern hemisphere and spring in the Southern hemisphere, where it is the seasonal equivalent to April in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa.

In common years January starts on the same day of the week as October, but no other month starts on the same day of the week as October in leap years.

Question Of The Day: What are you going to be for Halloween? If nothing, then what would you like to be?

I haven't figured out my costume yet. Better get thinking...
One son bought a full body suit of a clone trooper.
The other is going to be Fusionman, better known as Jetman.

me, i'll probably just do a heath ledger joker (along with probably a bazillion others).

My Nephew/slash/actor came as the joker. Of course he always comes in full character right down to body movements, voice, etc. It's always fun to make him break character, lol.
