Kung Fu Panda

I really enjoyed this flick much more than I thought I would. Jack Black is perfect for the part. A lot of great voices for the characters.

Funny, I just picked up this DVD today for my son. We saw it in the theater together also. I'd say it's good but not great. It held my interest, but it didn't make me laugh too often. Solid entertainment, but not a must-see. We'll see how it is on DVD - sometimes these animated movies get better with repeated viewing.

After watching this on DVD over the weekend, I have to upgrade my earlier review from good to very good. Much funnier than I remembered from the theater.

I have found that as well. But every so often one gets the guilt trip from one's wife and one is forced to watch a movie with the family at a time when one was planning on recording the bass tracks for a new song. Movie night at the Mark house (with daughter controlling the media content) included Kung-Fu Panda, Iron man, Wall-E, and Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian. For famil entertainment, I really liked all of the above, but KFP took it to a new level for me. Or, I just really love Jack Black, and that made the difference. I dunno.
