New Wave Vox Needed

It's no surprise that I don't have much in the way of singing chops, but my Half a Million Nerds entry needs some nice, warm vocals for a poppy New Wave tune.

Sound like your cup of tea? Wanna experiment?

Here's a scratch track

Here's a fat .WAV file without vox

Here are the lyrics:

half a million bits of sugar-coated sugar
put 'em in your mouth (put 'em in your mouth)
five hundred thousand grams of artificial flavor
saccharine in your veins (saccharine in your veins)

i wanna main-line the highway to the afterlife
I-V for the swirl of color
wanna take you on a trip to candyland
sugar, dextrose, corn syrup, malic acid

i think i said too much when you asked for nothing
forget it all away (forget it all away)
i think i took too much when you offered samples
watch me drift away (watch me drift away)
half a million bits of sugar-coated sugar
put 'em in my mouth (put 'em in your mouth)
five hundred thousand grams of artificial flavor
saccharine in my veins (saccharine in your veins)

i wanna main-line the highway to the afterlife
I-V for the swirl of color
wanna take you on a trip to candyland
sugar, dextrose, corn syrup, malic acid

tiny, tangy, crunchy candy
take me to nirvana

i wanna main-line the highway to the afterlife
I-V for the swirl of color
wanna take you on a trip to candyland
sugar, dextrose, corn syrup, malic acid
less than 2% of artificial flavors

For what it's worth, I don't think your vocals are as bad as you make them out to be. We're always hardest on ourselves.

I disagree with Teplin about your ability to self-assess.

I've found that I can sing in a certain range with a certain tenor, but it's quite limited. This tune needs a tone that I cannot achieve.
