So I am bored at work, because I am only doing exploratory stuff for the project which starts in the new year and most everyone else on this project is on vacation already. Tomorow will be more of the same. Right now I am seeing how much habanero puree from
Luna Taqueria's hidden menu I can stand. I am a little bit high as a result.
qotd: Are you taking any time off soon?
I will be on vacation from December 24 and won't be returning to work until January 5. I do not vacation well. I will be bored. The first week I will be in Albuquerque so I will be bored and aggravated. I'll have to bring some recording gear and my portable Wacom and my DS and some PS3 games (my parents have a PS3 too) but I'm not sure that'll be enough.

OK, now that the thread has been started, I will post this here, since I took it today. Can you say PHOTO-OP?

That is an awesome picture.
Also, so is your new avatar.

Thanks, John. BTW, no cropping, color correction, or any processing was done on that image, except to size it to 640x480 for my website. Right out of the camera. Sometimes you get lucky.

It is an awesome picture. No cropping should be necessary if you know how to compose a shot, which clearly you do.

Cool pic Spud.
Fluf, I'll take the Super Tortas with some of that Habanero sauce.

DRC: Cleaned apartment, or at least large parts of it. Got food and toys for the degus. Got headache. Cooked dinner. Posted online. Going to sleep soon.
QotD: I'll be taking time off indefinitely until I can find a new job. Wishing I'd saved a little bit more from the last job (did I need to buy that digital camera?), but as it stands I've got enough money in the bank to float me till March, as long as I don't go out too much.

I hear ya. I told my boss that if he can book me into a camp job that spans the holidays, please do it.
And what's with boredom/laziness anyways? Every time I'm working, I can't wait to get some time off so I can get back in on a songfight. Then I get the time off, and sit around wishing I had something to do. Maybe I just need to turn down the suck knob on the amp of life.

Spud, love the photo! I thought I was looking out of a snow dome instead of into one.
I'm supposed to be at work today but "in the field," which today means, "finishing my Xmas shopping." Then I'm off thru New Years. I do vacation just fine. I'll be pretty busy for this little stretch, but I have no problem doing absolutely nothing for days on end. That's more my natural state.

Judging by the rousing response rate to this thread, I'm guessing most people already are on vacation.

Roll Call: working the late (12-8) shift today.
QotD: My vacation is the same as yours, fluffy. I've got a few shows to play, but no day job for a nice little stretch there.

Ha! No vacay for me. Of course, I hadn't worked for more than a year so I'm raring to go. Nothing like holidays at the funny farm.
