CD Ripping Services / Home Jukeboxes

Has anyone made use of CD ripping services? And how are people managing large collections and integrating with home systems?

I mean, have you had 500+ CDs ripped, loaded and playing through convenient jukebox-like interfaces, and do you regularly load new content, sync your iPod/iPhone, and worry about album art and metadata?

Services, like somebody rips them for you?
My management is not so much.
But I do have a lot of mp3s on this device called the Linksys NSLU2 which you can install Linux on and use as a little tiny (in size) media server. At the moment I'm using it as a web server to my Wii which will play mp3s from there, but I want to get a component with a better UI for playing songs in the living room.
