Wait, here's one. Going to any good concerts soon? I'm going to see The Bird and the Bee in a week.

DRC: Working on this SF 200 list website has been a beast since pbwiki changed the editor, but I'm nearly done (even though I'm still missing a ton of quotes). I wanna get it done tonight as tomorrow begins FAWM & RPM.

QotD: The only concerts I have on my calendar this year are Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and Song Fight! NY v2.0

I went to a guitar clinic with Adrian Legg. He's AMAZING!

Niv,

Hey I know those guys in Sleepytime Gorrilla Museum. My old roomate was the soundman for Idiot Flesh (the previous incarnation with Nils and Dan). If you haven't seen them before you're in for a treat. Those Idiot Flesh shows in the late 90's were about the best and most fun shows I've ever seen. Sleepytime Gorrilla Museum is just as good, and they have Carla!

That...was...AWESOME! That open picking with tuning on the fly thing was incredible.

QOTD: No. I don't go to crowded places anymore. :?

I saw Adrian Legg years ago in Madison, Wis. Not only did he play amazing guitar, but he told some funny stories to boot.

I love WOMAD. Been to it in NYC and Reading, England. Always eyeopening and fun. I could use a big festival like that again.

That was pretty amazing. Tommy Emmanuel does some fairly similar stuff.

Superbowl Sunday! Anyone watching the game?

This is the day I get to make my finger food and dip smorgasbord.
1. Tons of my own style hot wings. Seasoned and floured yesterday. Deep fried in peanut oil in batches all day.
2. Bacon wrapped water chestnuts
3. BBQ shrimp and bacon wrapped shrimp
4. Artichoke dip made in a bread bowl
5. What I like to call "Rollos". Cream cheese slathered cracker bread layered with cold cuts, lettuce, tomato, green onion and drizzled with my remoulade. Then rolled up and sliced up into 1" wheels. A standard to every party. What do you guys call these?
6. BBQ Spareribs
7. Assorted beer battered and deep fried vegetables. Veggies are for good health. :)
8. Chips, dips, etc.
nom nom nom.

I'd call them brilliant.

I just made 4 dozen cookies to bring to my friend's superbowl BBQ. It's basically an excuse to have a BBQ, since most everyone at the party will be nerds who aren't into sports. I don't even know who the hell is playing this year, and I don't really care either.

Right now I'm trying to decide whether to drive, bike, or walk there. I think I'll bike, even though it's up a rather steep hill. Parking is always a mess in SF (which is related to why I even have a car for the next few months, as my sister's out of the country and needed to store her car somewhere, and my condo has a parking space).

Fluffy, you reminded me.
Added to the list of eats:
9. My wife made football shaped butter cookies and iced them all cutesy like football colors, laces, etc.
10. My son made about 2 dozen deviled eggs. He loves those damn things.
11. His girlfriend brought a crock pot full of her queso dip.
12. She also made these mini spicy buffalo chicken wrap things that you dip in a cilantro blue cheese dip. They are amazing.
_ . << Shhh, don't say it, don't even think it. It's bad luck
14. An apple pie and a huge 4 layer chocolate cake! Image
