What the...?

So, I had a brain fart and randomly Googled to check that "Ford's Theater Disaster" did indeed have an apostrophe (it
does) and I found this:
http://beemp3.com/download.php?file=263 ... n+the+Tank
I... uh... guess I'm glad that my music is kind of floating out there more broadly (though I have no reason to think anyone has ever downloaded my song from here). But, I guess I'm a little disturbed that this was done without my knowledge or permission.
Does that make sense? I mean I know that by submitting to Song Fight! I effectively relinquish any effective copyrights of the songs, but I submit them
here, to
this community for my fellow songfighters to critique, enjoy and mull - and I suppose the implication is that I didn't submit it to this "Bee Mp3" place.
Mind you, a single click on a "download now" link brings one right back to SongFight!... so... I dunno, just thought that I'd let you folks know some random spider program has searched through and linked to our archives.

Yeah, they'll grab your stuff from anywhere you post it online. Especially the Chinese sites. Anything for free content to drape ads around.

Yeah, 25 of mine came up. A couple that I'd rather never be heard again.

Yeah, the song files likely haven't moved at all. The download links will just redirect to grab the source, as stated on the site ("original found on songfight.org"). There are tons of these sites out there. Feel the love
Most importantly, though, by submitting to Song Fight,
you do not relinquish copyright at all. The song is yours, and yours alone. You are simply letting Song Fight host it and therefore have no control over its eventual distribution from there, whether real or imagined.

Didn't somebody discover some other site that did this a few years ago? Chances are this site found THAT site because mostly the same songs are provided...at least in MY case. Which sucks because its mostly stuff that I'm not all that proud of. Although the Blind Mime collaboration is included and that track isn't half bad. (for amateurs anyway)

I know another site that does this. It's called Google.
Oh, and Seeqpod has some of the SF songs indexed, too.

I meant link to Google. I thought I was being hilarious. I guess my brand of humor doesn't translate well.

I found some of my stuff on Beemp3 a few weeks ago. Sent them an e-mail and they had it down in less than 24 hours. Has anyone else tried to block this site from "hosting" their songs?

Why wouldn't I want my songs hosted? I'm not selling them, so what's the harm? I guess if I were a hard nosed principle kind of guy, I guess I'd tell them to remove my songs. But I
steal use so much stuff I find on the internet, I'll just write it off as paying it forward.

I don't profit from my music (yet). This company wouldn't exist if their website weren't profitable. My letter to them basically said, "Is your website profitable? If so, either cut me in or cut me out." For obvious reasons, they chose the latter, and did so in very short order. And I'm fine with that.
