Hi! 8)
Oh boy, what to say here? I'm doing the songfight thing b/c I needed an impetus to start making stuff and hopefully get better at making stuff. I used to make stuff in digital performer when I was in university but now I'm stuck working with audacity on a slow ol' pc with a crappy computer mic/soundcard. Audacity is hella cool though esp. being free.
Basically I mess about with sounds/samples. I never really tried to make a real song before now, with my own lyrics and my own voice reading them. We'll see how this goes.
I like writing and I'm probably better at that than songcrafting thus far but being here and actively making stuff should help with that. I don't actually play any instruments or read music, but I love playing around with sound in dsp programs.
If you want to hear other things I've made check out http://www.myspace.com/fabulousbiscuits and http://www.myspace.com/circuspenis - it's not nsfw I'm just goofy.
Those would be a few things I've made for classes a couple years ago or longer. The piece on the 2nd page was originally created for 8 channels and I'd love a chance to work with multi channel audio again...it's so cool!
I guess that's it for now, feel free to ask questions!
I haven't really slept yet after staying up finishing my song for the current fight last night so... sorry if I left out anything important.
This community looks awesome and thanks for existing...can't wait to be more involved.
