<strike>I was trying to be witty about it on the prefight thread, but here it is: The due date for "Glass Eye"/"When it Snowed" is 1/13/05. I'm assuming you meant 1/31/05?</strike> <b>FIXED</b>

Or 31/1/05?

Completely off-topic I know - but I'm curious - is it just Americans who write dates backwards?

Is there some correlation between the way in which one numerically expresses a calander date and the side of the road upon which one drives?

Yes, we take the good ideas and made them better.

Wow, can there really be a whole thread about a single typo, and can that thread have veered off topic this quickly? I don't know about any of that, but it is fixed, nevertheless. Songs due 01/31/05.

here's another typo for this thread. happy now?

<strike>on the archive page for 'one beautiful summer' http://www.songfight.org/songpage.php?k ... ful_summer the band "the meanness" appears to be misspelled. the name on the page has only one 's' while the mp3 filename has two. there have been prior entries from 'the meanness' with two 's'es, so i would assume that would be the correct spelling.</strike> <b>FIXED</b>

<strike>on this page and also the main SF page the 'not exactly normal' description contains the phrase "if fact" rather than "in fact". the spelling is not exactly normal, but i'm guessing it's a typo rather than a subtle bit of irony?</strike>

<strike>In the Archive, the start and due dates for "Galaxies Floating..." and "Adonai" are shown as /05 rather than /06.</strike> <B>FIXED</b>

Edit: actually, maybe it's not that the date is wrong, but that that fight just shows up out of order in the by-date listing... but it's an 05 amongst the 06 fights...

Hi - I don't know Latin or the names of more than a few saints, but isn't Gratus spelled Gratis? I'm not meaning to be fresh for a noob. Thanks - Paco

It's meant to be what it is. If the fightmaster picked a title of "the flwoers" you make a song with a title of "the flwoers" not "the flowers". Conform to placed typos!

Anywho, this is from another thread.

Ah so. Although I probably have already written a song called "the Flwoers", I most certainly have not written one about "Saint Gratus." Until this upcoming fight, that is. I guess a bit of conformity won't hurt either. Thanks for the guidance and proper alignment, although I did ask before that other message was posted. I have a dictionary where it's spelled with an i, and it's defined as "without payment; free". I like the link def better! Thanks again, Paco

Well. Aren't I feeling sillier the more that I wish I had taken a look before leaping. Lesson learned. Again. Thanks, and if I had any reservations about which song to do, I don't now! - Paco

This alone should lead to all sorts of possibilities:

"Patronage against
dangerous animals,
against fire,
against hail,
against lightning,
against rain,
against storms...
fear of insects...
protector of vineyards"

(Thank goodness the vineyards are protected.)

<strike>Our name in the Big Success fight is missing the capital "W" (I probably mistyped it when I sent it) I only point it out in case this will cause a second name in the archive, and if that is the case could you please change it? Thanks!</strike>
